Are there ever going to be any tournaments again? Ender, if so, when do you think they will be implemented?

Thread necromancy is much more acceptable then asking a previously-asked-a-hundred-times question.

Mind you on this topic I don't mind, the more questions about when a tourney will be MAYBE the more effort Ender will put in to fulfilling an obviously popular request :P

Tournaments are indeed coming.

As for when, that's hard to say. The current plan is for them to be a good deal more complex than they were in bots2, so it will be a significant undertaking. It's not the next major change to be coming too, so it will almost certainly be at least a month or two minimum.

I have a question about the tournament's.. I heard somewhere that there is a way that makes you more likely to win offline than online? And if that is true wihen the tournament's come around, will we be fighting like we are online or offline?

I guess all trades have their superstitions. That is absurd and completely untrue.

Sounds like the bots2 offline con rule where unspent points go to con. At this time, bots4 doesn't have this and I haven't decided what I want to do about it yet. There was a good thread awhile ago that talked about the pros and cons of both choices.

If bots4 does get offline con implemented, it won't apply to tournaments. The rule is meant to protect your bot when it levels up from being attacked.

If i remember correctly, offline CON only existed until you logged in? I'm not sure.

I think 'Myriad made a post about it a day or two ago and i can't find it.. Something to do with attack ratings and defense ratings coming into play on certain builds when you are offline..??

To my knowledge, being offline or online doesn't affect how your bot battles. My post was just about the basics of attack/defense rating, but they apply equally whether offline or online.
