You retain the stat bonuses, but lose defense gradually. For a body armour I like to replace it ASAP since it gives a lot of defense.

Plus, if it's any consolation, it's an easy camp.

Reaching 0 durability means the condition of the item can no longer be repaired back to 100%. Each additional hit it takes brings it down 1% further.

The condition acts as a multiplier and affects different item types differently:

  • For armors, it affects defense.
  • For weapons, it affects damage.
  • For shields, it affects block.

@Nos

You always made the joke about pitching a tent... I couldn't help myself.

For shields, it affects block.

So shield damage doesn't affect its defense? I don't know if it's intended, but when a shield's durability hits 0 and its condition starts to drop, so does its defense.

Hm, you're right. That wasn't intended, but I don't know that it's worth changing either. Thanks for pointing it out though.

If armor loses it's defense and absorb I think it only logical that a shield loses it's block as well as defense when losing durability.
