Int doesn't determine how much money you gain from a fight, only from trains. Kudo buffs on the other hand, allow you to take more than 1/3 of your opponents kudos in fights. Your opponent had the Aura of Eternity buff on, which takes 3*1/3 of your kudos - which is all of them.
