What would happen if one bot with broken weapon attacks another. Would they be locked in netherworld, doomed to fight each for eternity? Or maybe they would develop artificial intelligence over long period of time and come to conclusion that it's pointless to fight without chance of winning and become friends in quest for vengeance at their owner who started fight in first place?

There is a fight length limit sadly :(

The attacker loses the epic battle.

There is indeed an attempt limit of 300, at which point the defender wins.

(This may or may not be in place to prevent the technological singularity from occurring.)
