Every once in a while, understandably, this comes up:

captcha
Please fill this out to prove you are a human and not a script-using cheater:

However, I don't see anything to fill out. Please help.

What browser are you using? Do you have any extensions that might be disabling requests to other websites? The captcha is hosted elsewhere (recaptcha).

I'm on internet explorer, but I'm at work on the company's computer and the fact that they blocked google, youtube etc. could be affecting the form. How do I find recaptcha?

hahahha no, I just have a job where I'm not supposed to be using the computer at all, it's there to view cameras from... I'm a security guard. Also, if it does run off google then that's why it doesn't work and I guess I'll have to wait until I get home to verify my account. Thanks for the help.

The recaptcha will come up ever 15-25 minutes, so you may just have to play at home all the time. It's not just a once off thing.

He'd still need internet, unless he bought a wireless stick for it then it'd cost him too much :P If he connects into the server at his work then it'd still be blocked because they don't block it on separate computers

Thanks for the suggestion, but unless I buy one of those mobile internet sticks with the laptop it wouldn't help... they didn't block everything on the computer but on the network itself. And no, it's not possible to go on any blocked sites in any way, they knew what they were doing when the firewalled everything, I can just keep finding new sites they haven't thought to block.

You could probably find a cheap wireless pc card on ebay.

it might be just blocked on that specific computer. I cant imagine they blocked google throughout the company.

LOL! No, you need a special wireless stick. A wireless card plugs into the computer and picks up on other networks. A wireless stick (or whatever you want to call it) connects to it's provider for the internet.

Jans: They'd block it to stop them from getting sidetracked I guess? If they miss something on the screen they could be robbed? :P

Still don't understand. You said you could find a cheap wireless card. A wireless card is a card that plugs into your computer and picks up local wireless networks. Unless I'm mistaken?

It's not blocked throughout the company but on site at my particular location. I'm sure the head office can go on whatever sites they want haha. Anyways I'll actually look into one of those wifi sticks if I can get a decent deal, since I spend a lot of time here; thanks for all the suggestions.

Voxy, it's not a puzzle, that's exactly what I meant. My mom has a wireless stick with verizon, and she pays quite a bit for it. I bought a wireless card for like $10 and I never pay anything to use it.

Oh about the wifi card, I'm in the basement of the building, the closest open wireless network I've found is on the ninth floor... I went around with my blackberry testing out the building. I was referring to one of those wireless internet sticks that rogers and stuff have been advertising.

Well, this is from Australia and we have stupid internet prices but for 2GB of internet (On a wireless stick) it's $45 AUD and it lasts for 6 months.

Yeah, if you can find a good deal on an internet stick, it could be worth it, but you might want to be sure that you can get signal in the basement. It would be awful if you bought one and found out you couldn't even use it.

I'm in Toronto; our prices aren't much better, but I think I can find one for $35-40/month. Might be worth it if I can split it with some coworkers or just get a data plan for my phone and tether to a laptop... anyways I think I'm fucked for now but I appreciate all the input, I'll figure something out.

Dongle = usb stick from a provider, picks up 3G or whatever kind of signal. Like any connection, costs money per month

Wifi stick = usb stick that lets you connect to your wifi router

To be completely independent of the network, firewall and connection of the company, you'd need your own connection. So that'd be a dongle.

Several people have been corrected about calling you a male, saying you are a female. Goddamnit I'm so confused.
