im going for a str build

At different level's they all have strengths Balanced bot's do well from 1-40ish and then upwards of 120 Dex bots before level 60 do ok and after 120 strength bots typically do well, very strong from 60-120

This is only a rough guide however as i haven't tested this, it's only what i've heard, i hope it helps

Depending on your definition of dominate it wouldn't be hard go >50% against anything either of you can make. By the time you get anywhere, one could have a few bots already at that level. As for Kerrod, it depends entirely on who he is paying to make the bot.

i have gone past lvl 140. but i sold it :P ive tried lvling and it was dull in my opinion. a 140 dreaddealer. more balanced than dex and it was a fairly decent bot. which is why i try to stay below 120 range. more targets, energy, and its a lot easier to experiment with builds. so dont make the assumption that i havent gone past a certain lvl :P

No different that assuming STR overpowers DEX all the time :P

from 40-120 str pwns, and thats not including the 120+ blasters/souls/dooms/sledges. most players (other than the scarab blade crowd) play within this range. which is why people have said that this game leans more toward str because there is a huge gap where dex bots dont stand a chance which discourages people from making them. and once u do make a lvl 140+ dex bot you only have a few targets to fight. you make a dex bot within 40-120 range and ill make a str bot and lets see who wins :P

Why not just level a bot over 100 instead of making scarab bots tbh.

I'd have to disagree, it's pretty much a fact that the technique of making hordes of scarab bots is a very flawed and can easily be ruined by an opposing clan.

And the argument here isn't why you stay low level, it's dex versus str. Why the fuck would I want ot make a dex bot at a level I know it can't win? If I'm going ot make something I expect it to hold its own, which is why I went higher level.

As far as souls, necros pwn them. Blasters are beastly if you freak them at lvl 130ish. Dooms and Powers? Make them and I will fuck them up with my balanced builds any day of the week.

Granted my last bit stated balaced, which isn't the argument, but even at the dooms & powers level I doubt they would "pwn" a dex build. And to make sure we're all on the same page, my definition of "pwn" is winning 75% or more, not >50%.

My ego isn't overinflated. I think it has just the right amount of inflation within in. As far as arrogant, I can't, nay I won't, dispute that. If you think you are better, by all means prove it. I have never said I was the best, hell Saiyan Z has bots that are better than mine. I simply have the patience to build an abundance of different builds.

Erm, I just checked the HoF, what's your definition of "higher level"? Because it seems to me, that you lived your life, like a candle in the wind, nev'r knowin who to cliiiing to, when the raiiin set in *CAUGH CAUGH* sorry, it seems like there is a fair distribution from 50 to 110 in there.

Also, and I hate to bring this up, and I don't know who dumps and who gets energy by fighting, but I'm sure you do, so I believe this would bias several higher level bots to look more consistent, when really that's not a very good way to inform old King Rufus here, who probably won't be doing that and is just looking for a decent bot to fight with.

I think I've said it before, but necromancers have to be one of the worst weapons in the game. They give a whopping increase in 3 total damage over megas, while requiring an extra 44 str and 81 dex. Not to mention with freaking, you can probably get plasmas or evaporators with just a bit of gear juggling. You could do the same with a normal soul build and end up with better weapons as well.

Btw I don't think there are too many perfect builds out there that would win >75% of fights against another perfect bot, except for cruel whips vs whiplashes or something.

Necro's beat souls & megas.

Not really, mega maul bots aren't really built with 10 base DEX. I'm no expert, but I think the reason necromancers are good is they have just enough STR to freak to a good armor set. Megas are too low STR, even getting anything higher than Guardian Angel is going out of your way STR-wise, and souls have too high STR, considering you can just freak armors nowadays.

Necros were never better than megas, because you need more dex. Sure you probably won't go around with 10 dex, but you can get by with 50ish. The minor increase in damage is negligible when you can have 300 more hp with less dex. Basically, necros were designed with the intent to close the gap between megas and souls, and they failed, miserably.

In any case, I think both souls and necros are obsolete now with freaking possible.

You can run simulations, but I'm telling you right now. Necro's beat both mega's and Souls....

He has a point, just the fact that his point can't be made for every level. You might hit more with dex and less with strength but the hardness of the hit on strength kills you before you can hit them enough being dex at the lower levels.

depends on what you define as lower levels, Dex is pretty good sub 60.

dex is really good early off..but with higher str bots wearing higher armor and having far more absorb % at high lvls..dex has to hit 3-4 times just to make up for the str bots single hit..in the end lvls..str wins..
