How important is CON typically? I usually avoid it except when I have to because I feel like it will place me behind other bots in terms of Str/Dex.... What's typically a good amount of CON to invest per 10 levels? Dying in two hits isn't cutting it... even though I block most.

Dexbots tend to need some more con to weigh up their lower absorb. I´m sure Mr Smith knows more about the exact numbers. |

Thanks. Question is still on the table if anyone has more input. Maybe next time I make a dex bot I ought to start with strength or balanced first to about 92 then begin at 2-2.5:1 dex:str? I understand the formulas and how the game works and I've been developing my own bots... but I'd rather improve to something more useful and tweak it rather than keep going in the same direction. I'm fully capable of understanding strategy and gameplay, but a point in the right direction for a good way to construct a dex bot would be appreciated. Not going to spam the forum by making a second topic. Original question is still on the table though |

Dex bots have a very limited range in which they're optimal against others. So even if you do have ample amount of Con to support your dex build, for example at level 80-90, it's not likely to withstand very well against the multitude of answerers bots in that range that dominate that particular range. It's like TV or movies, you have to build for a certain audience, or in your case, build your dx bot for a certain level range. |

What type of bot do you recommend for trying to make an upper level bot of 200+? Or are most styles of bots only effective for a certain range? How good are versatile split bots? My dex bot was fine for about the first 50 levels... but now I'm starting to see a sharp decline with no end in sight as I approach 80.. and I don't think it's going to get any better. I understand the basics of the game/items. I can get to level 30 in 20 minutes tops, it's just getting the build down and what items follow what items in a particular build that I'm having trouble grasping. |

Well I don't do dex/balanced/leveling builds (all the same to me lol). But typically I go min con until about 60. If I freak I'll wait longer. If you want to stay in a level range, it's best to keep your current build and just add con as you level. A conned build will generally win a lot more vs. a freshly rushed build. But that's just my knowledge with str bots, I can't say for sure on dex. Now if you want to level, I've heard min con with max block rate is the way to go until 100 or so. After that you might want a bit more con, I'm not 100% sure on any of that though cause I don't have a leveler. But that's all advice I've heard from people who do/had high leveling bots. |

There are persons who get to lvl 100 in less than that. |

I'm sure there are. I never claimed to be on that skill level. I just claimed not to be borderline retarded. |

I highly doubt anyone could get too level 100 in less than 20 minutes, it takes 2 minutes just too get too level 2, an I have ratio whores an I can only get too about level 57 in 20minutes, and that's basically flat out |

It is possible lobster, you just need to make sure you have kudos at the ready to buy weapons/armour and make the fights quicker. Level 1-2 may take 2 minutes, but then level 2-40 will take less than 5 |

That means you aren't using good enough ratio whores then :P On good day using 45 int and showroom gives me int armors it take me 25 minutes get to about 75 Anyone wanna say what the record is to 100? sure i read in a thread that it was 15 mins or something daft like that |

I can reach lvl 100 in more or less 30min (real 30min, you'll understand later). Then, since each bot records the played time, it is possible to reach lvl 100 in less than "15 min". My record is like 14min and something. This is achieved by logging off while the fights are occuring by using a trick :P |

The record belongs to Myriad or Rene. I think one of them got lvl 100 in less than 10min using the trick. |

You can most certainly dig a better example up lobster, as this was the first one I went for, but here you go: http://bots4.net/profile/3634/Serpentine That bot last got "Level 10 NaN" on 20th feb, 5:34am bots time and last got "Level 100 NaN" on 20th feb, 5:54am. I don't think Myriad was going for any sort of record at the time, that's just what he does once a month. (I appreciate thats 10-100, not 1-100) |

and it only takes about 30 seconds to get from 2-10 :P |

Rene, Myriad, Rivan, etc I have all seen them fly to level 100. Like Esv stated, the bots "build" time isn't the amount of time it takes to level, but rather the amount of time it is logged on. Since you can log off the bot after clicking fight, you can remove seconds off each fight that quickly add up thus allowing your bot to be level 100 with a skewed number for build time. Anyway back tot he topic that I apparently quit on.
What I said about certain types of bots being optimal for certain ranges still sticks, even at 200+. At that range I would have 364 str to freak for kevlar + heraldic feet and enough dex to use the best dex weapon possible when freaking. Oblit, etc.
Dex bots are fickle. You have to have a set level in mind that you know it will be good. The lower level differ a lot because your stats fluctuate so often. The higher you go the more you have to be picky on your level. Due to freaking dex has become a little more popular, but str is still the best until you reach the point that you can start adding dex (usually once your str reaches 364 base). Then you have one of the best freaked armor sets and thus adding dex becomes the better option.
Leveling while trying to follow a dex path and remain competitive(against other bots, not whores) you are going to have trouble. It's just not probable. |
