It seems that if I use both Aura of Eternity and Spirit of Wolf II, both of them counts down when active, even though one of them takes effect (Aura)

This isnt a bug, just deactivate the spirit of wolf.

Ender states this on the trophies page.

Buffs with the same effects do not stack; the highest value takes effect.

Yep, this is working as intended.

But why is they both counting down then?

is talking about 2 of the same buff like if you have the spirit of wolf I and spirit of wold II then the II would take over but it doesnt go for different one like spirit of wolf I and the buff you start out with at lvl one. cant think of the name of it right now but it is different than sprit of wolf. get it?

Got it..

So it's not a bug, but just a flaw :P

They don't stack, so why should they both be counting down? (They don't, right?)

I guess it is the same if you activate the 200 % experience and 50 % experience.. That should cancel each other out, but it would probably still count down on both..

I know that would be stupid, but you get the point :)

Don´t want to point out the obvious.... but have you tried pausing the buff? Just hover over and click pause.

If you already done that, then yes it´s a bug.

If you have 2 of the same buffs (or two buffs that have the same qualities) like Spirit of the Wolf(Speed), Blitz's Bounty(Kudos), or Kodiac's Endless Intellect activated with Aura of Eternity, then yes they both will count down but only the highest value one will take effect (in that case Aura of Eternity). Both will count down, so yes you'll effectively be using both buffs, but you'll only get the benefit of the highest value one. So like Crab said, pause a buff.

He knows how to pause a buffer. Btw, what happens when using 200% and 50% xp or other opposing buffers for xp? As Zord suggested, probably both take effect no?

No as Nos said the Best buff (200%) would take place but it would still count down because both buffs are still active

I guess that depends on your definition of "best" there leader, but as far as that goes I don't know which buff would take precedence.

Here's how it works:

  1. Get the list of buffs on the bot
  2. Remove inactive buffs
  3. For each effect (e.g. kudos, exp, etc.), find the highest value effect
  4. Decrement the number of battles remaining for all active buffs, regardless of whether they were used in the previous step

For example, imagine buff A increases your kudos 150% and your exp 200%, buff B increases your kudos 200% and your exp 150%, and buff C increases your kudos 150% and your exp 150%. If all are active, you will get both 200% exp and 200% kudos and all 3 will have their use counter decreased, even though only (part of) 2 of them were used.

So in his example of having both XP ones active (XP 250% and XP 25%), would both be effectively active since they're the best, effectively countering each other out (ie normal 100% XP is what you'd get)? Or would the 250% XP take precedent and you'd receive that?

Sorry, not sure which example you're referring to (ctrl+F "25%" only matches your post).

Nos clarified via IRC. He was referring to Esv's post. If you had one buff with 250% exp and another with 25% exp, the 250% exp buff would take effect because 250 > 25 and both would have their use counts decreased.

I think you guys got me wrong..

I know how it works and how to pause...

I just don't agree that it is the way it should be..

Minor detail though, and should maybe be moved to the suggestions forum

This doesn't seem like a difficult thing to keep track of yourself once you know how it works, a little self responsibility; something people of the world seem to continually lack from time to time.

You obviously don't do any coding yourself ;) Rule #1: Users will make the script crash if crashable...

But I said that exactly: Minor detail..

I suppose Ender (and everyone) wants the game to be as good as possible, and I think that there is room for an improvement here. You might disagree..

never the less there might be more important improvements to spend the time on.. Just pointing it out...
