is this a bug?

i use the same weapons and same stats yet build calc shows more block chance than bots does

I don't think Ender ever modified the bot calc to reflect any updates he's conducted on the site. might be why there are some variations in them. He's stated before he never wanted to continue working on BU and was hopeful someone else would take up the mantle.

I love the calculator :P Would be nice to get the new armors added tho...

im sure ender as said to update it at some point but its not on the top of his list

I can't think of any differences between BU and bots4 regarding block chance, but I might be forgetting something. I would recommend working through the formula on BU (which should be accurate) to see how things work out. If no one can figure this out, I can take a look. Please post a link to BU and a screenshot of your bot on bots4 so I can compare.

I just tried with my build, without shield. BC is wrong, same as attack rating and defense rating.

The only bug here is the build calc not updating block chance as you equip new armours. The block chance of 8.93% in the above screenshot is the correct block chance if your bot had 180 dex, i.e. your base dex. The build calc simply didn't update it to reflect 200 dex after you put in your armours. Very simple to fix, just delete your stats and re-enter them. Alternatively equip armours before adding stats.

Attack/Defense rating also isn't updated, and Hp is updated inconsistently. I've honestly never thought this was a problem; it's been like that for years. I wouldn't worry about it Ender, the fact that nobody brought it up until now is testament to it being a non-issue.

That being said it could also explain a lot of the bots I see being made :)

Thanks for the explanation diablek and Rene. I wonder how that didn't get noticed for this long. I wrote that build calc probably 10 years ago.
