I just tested this and it seems to work fine for me. It would be a bit odd for it to have suddenly broken as this hasn't been touched in quite some time. Can some other folks test this out and see if it works for them too? If I get the impression that there's a problem based on that, I'll take a closer look at the logs for your attempts.

Random theory: Do you have any sort of virus scanner or extension that "pre-visits" links? If so, that would cause the link to not work - it only works once. This kind of behavior is extremely non-compatible with this game though (e.g. the battle page in particular), so if this was the case, you probably wouldn't be able to play the game at all. Maybe it's something specifically in your email account that's opening links beforehand for you. Just a theory though.
