This suggestion is just coming from what I have noticed:
I would like to see ratios have a reduced effect on XP gained. I feel that this would make the "wars" more interesting (EXAMPLE: the clan in first place can target the bots of the clan in second place this will effectively take the energy from the second place clan thus pushing them further away and give them a bigger gap between the two) Also, this means that you are truely able to fight better bot builds to really see which clan is superior. I know I tend not to attack bots with a very low level so that I can stay around the level that I am at so I can farm it longer. But there are also a few bots with 10k+ energy but also high ratios to go along with it. I want their energy but end up avoiding them because I do not want the XP that is associated with beating one of these bots.
In short: less XP bonus because of ratios will leave way to a more competitive clans who will be changing their ranks more quickly due to clans actually fighting over energy instead of just fighting over abandoned bots

Please and thank you. I don't touch anybody above .5 and I have 8 int. I still level to quick. |

I agree with this, I always avoid attacking high ratio bots because I end up levelling after collecting around 500-1000 energy |

Until we get into level 100ish, We can't fight "real bots" because we level just to fast. |

i like this idea, BUT, if you look at from both sides what if someone wants to level off fighting a high ratio? and how to work out xp? because it works both ways, a bot with 0.01 ratio gives you like 500 xp, at best? unless you have some int, which i dont, so good ratios are the only decent way to level a fighting bot. but i agree that between level 20 to 50 there are some very nice tasty looking bots with ratio and energy. that no one has a chance of taking because at best, one bot could take 2400 eergy off of them, and out of 20k, or even 50k energy that aint much. and basically no one attacks bots like that anyway. so i suggest that the energy taken should be increased in some way. but its hard to do because not every bot has that much energy, and it seems unfair because they gained that energy the hard way. so it is a bit of a dilemma where no one is realy going to end up happy.. |

Yes there is always going to be a down side whether it is being forced to gain int and train to your desired level then redis to the stats you want for XP or whatever the consequences would be. I know myself I like to gain levels through fights. I am not suggesting ratio bonus being done away with completely just not play the major part it is right now. |

I thought complaints about getting too much xp was a relic of the cs days when you'd level past your whores. Really, if everyone attacks other strong bots as is *supposed* to happen, everyone will end up at a high level anyway and there will be plenty of targets for everyone. Pretty poor suggestion imo. |

.2 ratio sorry. 2.0 ratio is still to much. |

I like where youre going with that but if energy stays the way it is those crappy bots would just keep amassing more energy from no one fighting them and in theory you could just have a clan or 0.00 ratio bots that hardly anyone fights that is pretty high up the clan rankings. So basically a reverse of how the system is now |

Alright didn't think of it that way. It should still play off your difference with out people though. |

Fighting crappy bots would give more exp, but would be kept away from since they give more exp than a higher ratio bot. |

I'm trying to figure out how to get more people fighting good bots. If you have a way to make it better do it. |

@bluei There are many different ways to play every game. Unfortunately the major way to play this one has to do with obtaining the highest clan rank possible and the best way to do that is to stay where the energy is. Since it seems that many people have quit at lower levels this is where the most energy is. I have seen many complaints about how there are hardly any targets over level 100 there really is not any incentive to level up that high if you are playing your part in a clan. |

But see, that just won't work. Not all people are going to fight "like they are supposed too" because they "should". This a text-based robot-fighting role playing game. It just won't happen. We must cater to the people who are playing the game how it is played. Not the "perfect life" game. |

If that is how the game is "supposed" to be played then maybe there should be a penalty for attempting to stay at a lower level |

look... there is no way your 'supposed' to play.. you can play however the hell you want. that is the beauty of bots, you can play any way you want, but i just quoted that because most energy/clanned based players, at this point in the game dont want to level to high because there is not as many targets, if they all leveled up then there would be more targets at the higher levels=more energy for higher level bots. AND with the amounts of exp required to level at the higher levels you can rape any bot you want without worrying about ratio because you wont level up in one rape. |

This has little to do with levels, it is all about where the targets are at. If real wars proceed as planned, and there's a great skirmish between top bots in top clans, everyone will level quickly, and there should be no problem with targets. If people are reluctant to level because they can't beat on inactive bots at lower levels, then that is a failure of real wars, and not a reason to change the xp formula for everyone else who is not in a clan/doesn't care about winning clan months. |

I fight whatever i feel like fighting, high/low ratios. I would like to see a formula that includes the ratios in the energy gain. Higher ratio target= higher energy gained. |

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ that is all. BUT, its kind of unfair.. say if you raped a whole bunch of shit bots for 20 energy an inadvertently raised your ratio to say 10.00, and there was someone that could beat you easily you would lose alot more energy |

smeagol i think it kind of is already. some times i fight and only ever get 18 energy and other times i get up to 24 or so. dunno if thats dependent on ratio or level or something else though. |

[13 years, 189 days ago] |
That depends on how the fight plays out. if you three hit someone without them even touching you, then you will only get about 16 but if you have a 20 second fight with a dex bot and win then you'll get 24. so depending on the fight you get 24-16 energy |

We are going a bit offtopic, but... you can get maximum energy from 15 or from 30 seconds of fight (if you're a dexed bot), so it's a waste of time and also encourages to build balanced/dex bots. |
