I'm sure you already thought of this Ender, but don't make it show the "Last edited: 11:50:52 am by Emanuel" unless you edit the post 1-2 minutes after it was created.

And make it impossible to edit 15 minutes after the post was created.

Here's what I had in mind for editing:

You'll always be able to edit your posts. This is needed for threads where the first post is continuously updated with information (e.g., damage records) and I think it's a feature that will be abused rarely enough to justify its benefits.

If you edit your post, a message will appear stating the last time you've done so (same as bots2) and also how many times you've edited it (different than bots2).

If you edit your post and it's currently the last post in a thread, the message and count will not appear.

I no longer agree with myself. ^^

I think you'll be able to edit posts for 3 minutes after they are posted, but then after that they're finalized. Maybe there will be exceptions for some threads (like damage records), but I really like the fact that there are currently no "take backs" on things you say. Typos and little things should be able to be fixed though.

How about the "last edited" thing? Will that be shown even if you edit just 5 seconds after you posted?

Could just give Jans power to forums and tell him to go through all posts and be a spelling nazi.

>2012 being some sort of apocalypse.

That's just when the mayan calender ended. That was also a long freaking time ago. Back then they thought "In 700 years from now, they're going to have a better calender, so there is no need to continue this one." There is absolutely no proof in any possible way ever that the world could end, just because some extinct race of people stopped making a calender. I also believe the media made it up to make some cheap money off of a few crappy movies (the movie 2012).

2012 is just one of the years we're all going to die. We're also going to die in 2013, 2014 and 2016. And we were going to die every year in the past decade, and many years before.

An armageddon overview;

Wouldn't it be great if 2015 would be the end of the world? Hopefully there will be just enough time left so i can log on and post 'told you so'.
