I think if you beat the highest available training bot then the next one should automagically unlock without having to get the level requirement. Would be nice to have a shot at more trophies. So for instance, Terror Inc should be unlocked for me now instead of having to wait till lvl150 to beat him. Then if I beat Terror Inc, The X will unlock and so on.
Can't see any way that it can be abused but it will create opportunities to get a couple more trophies and break some records if you have a good bot.

I always thought that it was a little odd that training bots unlocked by level & not ability.
Thumbs up here.

The only potential problem I see is that dex/balance bots may be able to train a lot more efficiently than str bots if they fluke a win against the top trainbot. Each trainbot unlocked allows them to get a higher xp/hr, which is obviously a big advantage.
|
I wouldn`t mind this at all lol, would increase my xp/h by a large amount :)

After building a few dex/balanced bots I have noticed that you might be able to fluke out a win against the highest available train bot but you sure as hell wont gain a lot of XP because in my experience in order to do it you have to build a "Good" bot with 10 base int. :P
I doubt your "fear" would be realized by anyone.
|
Perhaps give each trainbot two "level to unlock" values, one at which it can be unlocked be beating its predecessors, and another where it automatically unlocks regardless of which of the weaker trainbots you have beaten.

The only anomaly is Cyborg LX which may give slightly better exp per hour than The X or Terror Inc because it is over lvl900.
Smeagol can maybe tell us how much more it is. Compare exp per hour training on EL TERMINATORE vs Cyborg LX. Don't think there will be too much of a difference.
|
Alright, ill do 30min or so on both, and let you know the numbers, no buffs used.
|
Shortened it down to 15min, hate slowness of no speedbuff lol.
Cyborg:
Log time: 0h 15m 2s
Total trains: 67
Xp rate: 1,521,771,717/h
And now i will do 15min on EL TERMINATORE.
|
EL TERMINATORE
Log time: 0h 15m 13s
Total trains: 39
Total fights: 0
Xp rate: 1,147,683,158/h
That was 15min on both, no captchas, no buffs, clicking the trainlink the second it popped up.

attacking the top train bot available to training bots does not yield the greatest xp. Occasional fluked wins do not give more xp than consistent wins on a lower bot.
|
Dunno if this is the correct numbers anymore, but if it is.. then that will make up for the xp-difference i guess.
Xp-modifier:
1.0 - Training bot level under 300
1.3 - Training bot level 300-449
1.6 - Training bot level 450-599
1.9 - Training bot level 600-749
2.2 - Training bot level 750-899
2.5 - Training bot level 900+
|
If you can't even beat a certain trainbot one single time, you're not gonna get better xp from the one after that one.
|
The xp/h is similar to what i had in bots2, same "build" and same strategy with the trainbots :)
Never made it higher than 230ish in bots2 before it closed down.
|
Actually, If you can crank out more trains/hour and still get a decent amount of exp, then this will result in more xp/hour.
Even if you lose 80%, you can maybe get more xp/hour.

Also need to consider the new buffs. More trains per hour = bad since the buffs get used up faster.
|
I don't think the buffs should matter in the overall.
If you want to use 250% speed on the 666 and the 900. Go for it.
Same variable.
|
I meant it will take more fights on Cyborg LX compared to EL TERMINATORE to get the same amount of exp. So the buffs will run out faster on Cyborg LX, hence slowing down exp/hr afterwards if you run out of trophy points.
|
Oh, I guess if you take it that way. Then yes. But we are talking straight xp/hour not trophy points available are we?
Anyways, I'd just figure out the max xp trainer and hit it.

This would only apply to the next train bot up to the one you consistently win against.
A trainer would never go 80% against the top train bot. Both wiggin & me trained against Cyborg LX for what seemed forever & there were 4 other train bots open to us to train against.

That's because there's no additional xp multipler above Cyborg LX. I'd actually like to see some new modifiers above level 900+ trainbots to make it more appealing to train on Triple X, X-Extreme, etc. I think I started a thread about that some time during OB.
Anyway, I think there's too much uncertainty about xp rates to implement this idea.
|
|

No that's because we couldn't beat the fuckers. I fluked 1 win against scorp x at round about lvl 360. 60 lvls after I'd unlocked it.
|
Well you might have beaten him earlier if you didn't have like 400 int :p Anyway, my point was if there was a better xp multiplier for those higher trainbots they might give a better xp/hr even if you rarely beat them.
|
I didn't say a trainer goes 80% against a trainbot. Quite the opposite.
|

+1 for this idea
+1 for trainbots having two unlock requirements
+fifty bazillion for Automagic!
|
Ye sorry Alan, my post should read 20%.
But with the exception of Cyborg LX the point still stands.
|
however, that will only count for a really select group of players, that, as of yet, does not exist...
|
I beat Trainmate with my first train quite often when I have a new bot, it would be cool if then I could use T50.5 because when I hit level 2 I go straight on to T101.
|
^Indeed. I usually only hit T50.0 for the trophy.
|
I did a quick lookup and realized that dozens of my bots don't have the trophies for the first few trainbots. Trainmate and T50.0 especially. Not even the level 10 trainbot trophy.
