I would like to see being in a clan mean more than just gaining energy as individuals.
What about having access to clan stash as one of the guild rank perks.
- we can have dedicated showroom farmers and fill the clan stash.
- A certain rank would give you access to that stash.
- It would make the integration of new players easy, as we could "suit them up" with gear to fit the builds we guide them through.
- We could hand out gear to Smeagol for entering our clan and fill our clan treasure.
Im sure I can post a endless list of arguments you wont by. But I think there is potential here.

I like this idea.
However, it would take away a little of the benefit for star buyers. Also, how fair is it for someone with 10 stars to drop an item in there everyday?
|
yeah there maybe too many <what if's> here to make it possible. There would have to be restrictions here, but I just like the basic idea of people being able to contribute with more then kudos and energy.
|
I agree, maybe something to think about later. If tournaments are a few months ago, this is lucky to be end of the year. :<
|
Maybe have a separate "ordering" for clan stash?
You see a Shaftstop
You have the kudos
You have 260 STR or more
You have full stash/don't need it
You send it to clan stash.
Someone (clanmate) needs a Shaftstop
They don't have stars
They can order the Shaftstop from clan stash.
Now this must be a proccess no faster than star ordering.
Maybe base the "star level" of clan stash ordering on current clan rank? Rank in clan? I don't know.
Maybe then people will want high level trainers in their clans.

This is why this idea won't work as you have stated, but perhaps neps is onto something. Rather than a higher level bot giving and a lower level bot getting something nothing, this could turn into a "clan showroom" of sorts. where people could camp the showroom, stock up on items(which I think would have to have a limit set for obvious reason) thus allowing clan member not to have to camp for the items but to go into the "clan showroom" and purchase items from it that have been camped by other clan members.
|
...something for* nothing....
|
I don't wish to poo poo this suggestion, but isn't this just an enhanced version of a clan bank :P
|
The initial suggestion is (to an extent), but what about neps' and mine?
|
this is just the developed thinking on clan banks that was needed for getting more people interested in the discussion and maybe turning more people for the proposal.
+1 for clan showroom
|
*tries to think of something constructive to add to the process*
Ah fuck it, +1 for something like this though, clan bank/showroom/gear stash, hell yes.
|
Clan bank with kudos - no
This idea where you still need the kudos to buy the gear - yes
Gives even more incentive to join a clan.
|
This would eliminate the need for stars, since you just need one high level training bot to buy everything in the showroom and dump into the clan stash for people to order without any stars. So, no.
|
You could have restrictions take care that.
And you would encourage people to stay in a clan. More energy targets for all = win :D
|
Nah, this has been suggested lots of times. Different forms too.
- Have a high level still sitting in there with 400+ strength, buying shit.
- Give noobs free/easy to get stuff
There has to be a different way to keep clans together instead of "free" stuff.
Maybe I missed the idea, but I vote no.

well the clan stash could work as your normal stash = only one space, then one additional space for every 10 stars the clan members own together.
And for the comment on one lvl 400 str training bot buying it all? well if no one else has 400 str then they can't wear it and you could put restrictions on how it so a member can only add one item a day for instance.
|
and add a cap for how many stars that count per member
|
tl;dr --> Decent idea(ish) but requires heavy restrictions to work

I don't see how this would eliminate the "need" for stars. People mostly buy stars for ordering and stash. This doesn't remove that on an individual basis at all.

I think you just read the main idea, perhaps you should read neps and my additions.
My Idea: Rather than a higher level bot giving and a lower level bot getting something nothing, this could turn into a "clan showroom" of sorts. where people could camp the showroom, stock up on items(which I think would have to have a limit set for obvious reason) thus allowing clan member not to have to camp for the items but to go into the "clan showroom" and purchase items from it that have been camped by other clan members.
Let's say we had a clan showroom. This would be limited to a certain amount of items. I'd say 10 is a good number. This means only 10 items are allowed in the "clan showroom". The items in this showroom aren't free, the clan members still have to purchase them just like they would if they were in the regular showroom, the only difference here is they won't have to sit in the showroom actually camping, but they still have to have all the requirements to obtain the item as if they were.
|
somebody has to camp then. i just dont see a reason for it.
|

This is just the same as having 10 stash spaces. Only thing now we won't need any stars to have stash spaces.
|
Purchasing an item and having it placed in your stash means it is yours. Donating an item you have already purchased to a clan showroom, then being required to purchase it again does not = clan stash space. I fail to see your conclusion.
|
It is actually even better than star stash space. Since high str bots will be able to buy things way in advance for lower lvl bots. Kudos are irrelevant because it's easy to get. It is much easier to camp the showroom with one bot than have to log in 10 different bots to camp individual items. So the idea will make things too easy. It is even better than having 10 stars on each bot in a clan. With no stars you could just camp with 1 high str bot and get whatever you need for all your other bots.
|
Kudos are irrelevant because it's easy to get.
This is the part of your statement that is most ignorant in my opinion. Kudos may be easier to get for some, but they are not easy to get, regardless of who you are at level 30. What your comments are taking us back to is "free" stuff for lower level bots. This isn't the case. Are obtaining kudos easier the higher level you get, of course, but with your "concerns" I lead you further down my comment. ^^
Is this idea giving a huge advantage for being in a clan? Yes, does it remove the overall system of actually still having to collect the kudos and purchase the items? Yes. Like stated before, even more restrictions can be implemented.
For example, to keep people from "mass" building bots using higher level int trainers you could restrict the "clan showroom" purchases to one per bot per 48 hours.
There's actually a lot of potential for this type of idea to help people want to be in clans more.
|
yea i see it as an extension of the clan bank Active X.
and i want this!!! ++++++++++++++++++++
|
I'm not against more perks for being in a clan, but this sounds like it would water down the benefit of stars, which is something I don't want to do.
|
So no adding to the stars' advantages but no giving anything they have going for them to anyone else. Understood.
|
Oh well, worth the shot :)
|
no giving anything they have going for them to anyone else
Correct. This is why I won't be adding things like "spend x trophy points to get item y", because I want that to remain a star perk.
|
Fair enough. It's just difficult to find the line between what is considered a "star perk" and what could become a "clan perk" is all.
|
I think it's pretty straightforward. Anything that has to do with easily obtaining items from the showroom by circumventing having to camp falls into the category of "star perk".
|
Why not combine the two? You can only access the clan stash if you have stars.
|
Nah, I don't like that idea. That doesn't really alter anything much at all. Nice suggestion though. We'll just have to keep digging for better ideas.
