At the moment when you lose a battle you also lose a third of your kudos. I feel that this steep penalty puts some people off of battling harder bots ... or it may just be me :P
Anyhoo to remove this barrier could you amount of kudos lost be adjusted to, i don't know, something like 10%?

Would it work both ways? IE when you beat a bot you only gain a certain %? Orrrrr
Something I'd be infavor of: modes. "hardcore mode" where you loose 50 to 75% of your kudos for losing and a normal mode that'd be something like the 10% you said. The mode would be set up when you make your bot and unchangeable or have a delay similar to stars to prevent abuse... But regardless I'd like the punishment to be a bit less than it is now, maybe not down to 10 but 20 or 15.

I don't see how money could be much of a problem. PVP when you have little money, that's what I used to do (now I just fight higher train bots if I don't have enough). Use a kudos whore to buy something from the showroom.

The kudos buff is actually very helpful in stealing back kudos from another "good" bot you unexpectedly lost to. Normally you'd need a string of victories to "take back" your cash if you lose it to someone, and if it's a good bot you can waste a lot of fights fishing for a fluke win string.
With a 200% kudos buff, two consecutive wins will take about almost nine tenths of an opponent's kudos. You'd need to do at least 6 wins in a row normally to beat that percentage of stolen kudos.

Also, I like this, decreasing the kudos won/lost from a fight to 10% would make fishing for targets a lot more attractive.

I'm in favor of making it more worthwhile to attack "real" bots, so I'd consider this. Curious to hear other negative viewpoints though. I wouldn't want to make it too hard to hold onto kudos.

my kudos is already safeish when I'm offline if I pay the bots union, so i'm ok with that still being a third (or more with buffs).
so ye just reduce the amount of kudos transferred for bots that attack.
btw the use of buffs may contain the problem whilst i have points to spend, but it is not a long term solution. plus i'm not even sure that a kudos buff is worthwhile using on a negative int bot :P

I've had the same kudos buff for about three months now. I only use it when I need it. Usually only two or three fights.
The original idea is good though, and I think it would encourage "real wars."

So you are saying if Bot A attacks Bot B and wins Bot A should gain 1/3rd of Bot B's Kudos, but if Bot A loses then Bot A should only lose 1/10th of his Kudos?
Yeah I don't see how that is fair. I'm not suggesting that the game should be fair, but I do believe everything should be on equal footing.
