Here we go...
1: A buff (maybe non-purchasable) that gives one a certain amount of -requirements for showroom items. (maybe x showroom refreshes)
2: Skills buffs. Defensive, offensive... not only intelligence-based (kudos/exp)
3: Skills. If one bot is STR is certain % ahead of DEX he is a "strong bot": He gets to negate some of the armour of other bots when he is attacking, but too much steroids made him stupider and that shows when he is atatcked! Dex - maybe does some extra strikes right after blocking, but then on the negative side he gets to lack something...
4: Item dropping. Maybe permanent, or swapping with target(for shields, weapons) or simply... during a fight a chance of "Bot1 dropped his Spiked Club and will continue bare-fisted. Same for shields...

i like the dropped item idea as it will give people the chance beat bots thats alot higher in level :)

Yes, a freaking buff. But one that you get on any bot... not on the one you particularly want. And also.. for a certain amount of (same bot made) showroom refreshes so you couldn't camp with another and just enter and buy the good item.
Another twist of that might be a simple item-in-the-shop buff... of varying item stats...
You got the same Long Sword from the same swordsmith, but the big guy was a bit drunker the night he hammered yours :D

I really don't understand this. Everytime you refresh the showroom, you lose a buff charge? Every minute you lose one charge? It makes no sense.

yep... so you have a certain amount of time/tries to "super-freak" a certain lucky bot...
just to make the game a bit more unpredictable.

Nothing wrong with suggesting I guess. But if you want my opinion I think these are all quite silly.

Yeah, I don't know if your suggestion says:
A. A bot will lose a buff charge every minute.
or:
B. A bot will lose a buff charge every time it actually refreshes the showroom.
That said, I still think this suggestion is on the same level as "BANK!"

I don't think counting the number of times the showroom is refreshed would work, because the person could simply use a different bot to monitor the showroom until the desired equip is stocked.
It was interesting about the dropped item idea, but I don't think it should last for the remainder of the fight, maybe for a certain number of turns, or number of turns based on how much damage the hit did. That's sort of like a disabling blow, except only on one limb.
