I think it'd be pretty useful to have the reset forum status button next to the forum link on the left side. Not an additional box, but just make a small portion of the forum button be the reset forum status. I find myself often opening a new tab to the forums just to reset the counter.

This sounds confusing from a UX perspective since it would make this button different than all the others, so I don't think this would be good default behavior. I'd say bug a script-maker to hack something together if you really want this.
