Maybe it's me, but it seems like people are attacking opponents while they're online more often now.

This is fine. It's an multiplayer game. But it shouldn't turn into a cheap tactic, like:
"im gonna fight you with my crappy clanless bot to prevent you from getting energy"

Especially since 5 bots per IP are allowed now (too many imo, but thats another topic), this is a real scenario. Would it be a good idea to add a little time-out for the online-attacker before he can attack his online opponent again?

So, in short:
- I am attacking an offline bot called xTrmlyCool from clan Y
- The owner doesn't like that, and starts attacking me with Craptacular, a clanless bot he doesnt care about
- When my fight against xTrmlyCool is over, i get an additional 5 seconds before Craptacular can attack me again. During those 5 seconds i have enough time to start another fight versus xTrmlyCool

I say make the time between hits be 1200ms intead of 800ms when you're attacking someone who's online. Only for the attacker though.

That's effectively the same thing, right? Not sure if it's enough from a technical point of view though. If the fight is *displayed* slower, but actually finishes earlier, the attacked could return to the fight list and start a new fight from there.

It's pretty much the same thing, yes.

X attacks Y (who's online) at 13:37:00, the fight is 15 hits long, Y can train/fight again at 13:37:12 while X has to wait until 13:37:18 to train/fight again.

Sounds good to me :)

The basic idea is that someone who's being onlined, has a better chance of continuing his fights.

Unless Ender is specifically against it, onlining is a viable gaming strategy and some people might enjoy attacking someone who is actually there.

I don't see any reason why there should be steps against it. Its a slippery slop to take steps against, next thing you know you won't be able to attack a bot online.

There is already the advantage on the person attacking because they just have to hit try again. While the defender has to see the message his bot is still battling and then go back to the fight or train list to click again.

"next thing you know you won't be able to attack a bot online. "

That's ludicrous.

I get it, you are making a joke about not being able to hit buttons.
