I'd considered doing more complex pricing...bulk discounts, sales, etc., but I also like the idea of something simple like what we have now. I'm not against adding these things at some point, but I do wonder if people that already made purchases would be mad.

And I don't mind spam that puts money in my wallet. :)

People don't really have any reason to be upset. It's the exact same premise as buying something when it first releases as opposed to waiting until it goes on sale much later down the road.

Imagine I wanted to buy just 3 stars (30USD) initially. However, there is a discount if I buy 5 stars (45 USD). I would be very tempted to buy the stars with discount, meaning more money for you Ender :)

Random thought: Ender gives out free stars equal to how old he is on his birthday. Or perhaps we think of it as his birthday gift and use his new current age (I guess 44 turning 45?) and we vow to buy all the stars put up for auction on that day so he can go buy himself a present.
