Currently, clans are teaming up and using !take item multiple times, almost guaranteeing their friend/clan mate gets the item. Sort of unfair to new people or people with no friends :(

Agreed, when someone says !take shaftstop, others shouldn't be able to do the same. |

What about in the case that multiple people actually need the same item? Besides, I think the team:derpitem ratio is pretty even and makes everyone equally upset. |

sounds more like people just not getting items and frustrated cos of it, end of day its done by a RNG why blame people for a system they have no control over |

Enders already said he was going to implement this, this is just a reminder really. It's not RNG when 3 people roll vs 1 person. Then it's 3:1 instead of 1:1. |

i'm not denying asking for multiple items may be wrong but hey as gpof said if multiple people need an item. what your saying will gonna punish them ... can't suit everyone ... just saying |

I believe the part Ender was more concerned with was the same person making multiple rolls, not multiple people rolling the same item. Maybe I missed a conversation about it though idk. |

The feature is meant to convince people to come into chat, they won't be convinced if they lose out all the time because 4 people from the same clan are in there. |

If jane allows each item to roll once, the RNG per item is equal. If multiple people need to get the item, it's first one to buy it. In the current state, if I have a clan of 10 people or 10 'IRC bots' to roll the same item, and anyone else rolls any other item, I will be 10 times more likely than anyone single person rolling an item. I can probably camp an entire bot before anyone else can get an item. |

i think we should play fair, so we don't ruin this cool feature and make it be taken out of the game |

I think we should abuse it even more now since Fish mentioned friends teaming up. It promotes teamwork and making new friendships. How about them apples. |

@LetsCrush Alan, the situation we are talking about is 10 clan members helping 1 person camp, where 10 people order the same item. The odds for that single item are significantly higher. By, putting in a limiter of 1 RNG roll per item per jane delivery, the other non-camping clan members would not roll at all. The situation you are referring to is when 10 people are camping for their own bots, everyone has an equal chance to camp items. |

[12:05:36] [@^Jane^] The delivery girl turns her back with the backroom left open! (!take to take an item, 120 seconds remaining) Thats what happens with mutliple rolls |

you've benefited off the same thing fishwick ;) i only asked ONCE earlier and that was to Ville not 10 people xD You spend time in the chat you will notice most people copy the item just to get a higher score ... |

I buy the "won" item often. It makes the rage funnier than out rolling them. |

Personally I wouldn't mind if it's changed, I just don't think the current "issues" with it are a big deal. |

I agree with Fishy. This tactic is just not cricket & causes unnecessary friction! Whether that is good or bad for the game/chat remains to be seen. Healthy rivalries promote healthy competition. By the same token people spamming !take cap isn't nice either ... PS Fishy I'll be your friend ;) |

First come first serve is the best bet then :P Or you could just make friends with everyone in chat so that doesn't happen, lol |

Not sure how you came to that conclusion. The best solution is to only let an item roll once. |

I thought that the point of bots4 was being NOT SO NICE! That's why I'm going to keep ordering dai-katanas. |

Yes, this is correct. I'm less concerned about people teaming up to increase their chance at a particular item than I am about the same person setting up proxies to increase their chance. That being said, where do we draw the line? What if I make it so that only one roll can be made per item and then people still team up to hedge their rolls for multiple items needed by a single person? I don't think giving an advantage (that word is important, this isn't a trump card because people not teaming still have a chance at winning, just less of a chance) to people that team up is necessarily a bad thing in a game that tries to promote community. And if you want to get creative, there are also ways to fight back against this: a winning roll doesn't guarantee item ownership, so you can always go into the showroom and beat the other person to the item. I'm not saying I think that's a particularly nice thing to do (it will probably earn you enemies), but if you're feeling like everyone's against you... |
