So sitting here today, playing on 5 bots (as I tend to usually do when online), I was hit with reCAPTCHA on all 5 bots. I was wondering if it would be possible for people who are on multiple bots only have to deal with reCAPTCHA on one bot?

| Administrator | Per-IP captcha instead of per-bot captcha seems reasonable. Anyone see any reason why this would be bad? |
| | I see no reason why it would be bad, captcha is the to catch auto-clickers yeah? so if someone was gonna use it they would use it on all bots not just one they are logged in on. |
| | I think people would welcome this. Dumping takes a lot of switching from one account to the other. Every time you need to fill in the captcha thingy. |
| Administrator | I'm always a little hesitant to discuss this kinda stuff publicly because I don't want to give people ideas, but now that I think about it more, I guess this change would remove a couple roadblocks for those intent on cheating. Presumably, a cheater is able to automate the link clicking and then for captcha they either have to check in every so often (time/effort) or crowdsource it onto something like mechanical turk (money). That being said, maybe it's still better to go per-IP if it makes things that much better for non-cheating players. The potential cost/downside could be worth it. |
| | Yes please. It's really horrid when you have 5 bots going but get the captchas at different times. It feels like every few minutes one pops up which slows you down a lot. |
| | It doesn't just feel like every five minutes for people playing several bots. I'm just playing on the one and quite a few times I do the captcha, let the train run while i go down for a glass of water, walk back up before the minute is up, click train again and have another captcha. LOL. But it's good for hashing out cheaters. |
