And upon posting some other guy posted and I wanted to quote and reply to him. So I Attempted to reply to his comment and a message popped up.

On this forum it requires you to wait 60 seconds between posting. So you have to wait a minute before posting again maybe that would stop the real spammers on this game.

And also I've just thought now maybe have it that your email has to be verified before you can post on the forum?

The email thing would be really tedious for getting trophies on other bots. The posting thing might help spam a bit, but I think it would be more of a hindrance to legitimately active posters.

Think the forum needs all the help it can get to be active, the mods are generally active enough to clean up any spam, as much as people may think otherwise :p besides, if no one spams I'll never get to mute anyone!

On this forum it requires you to wait 60 seconds between posting.

The limit is 3 forum posts in any 60 second period. I'm a pretty frequent forum poster and have never hit this limit myself, so I'd be kind of surprised if it's a frequent pain point for many people.

This limit exists because of problems in the past with spammers posting the same message over and over as many times as the system would allow them. It's not foolproof, but it at least slows them down so that there's less to cleanup when a moderator gets to it. This hasn't happened in awhile though, thankfully.

I'm all for anything that minimizes the deadly threat of spam which haunts the bots community.

Thank the lord there isn't any trolls around these forums either. It's like heaven on Earth! Or the Internet that is.
