In relation to FTP's thread (http://bots4.net/forum/4/678) and my other suggestion (http://bots4.net/forum/4/606), i was thinking what we're trying to accomplish.

The limit on clansize is fine, but combined with the continuous fighting for energy, it does not allow for members to take a break. They will have to leave the clan, or be kicked. And that's not good for social cohesion.

How about this:
Adding 'groups' to the forum, much like Facebook and LinkedIn. They can either be private or open. Every clan can have it's own group, as a replacement for clan forum. But a clan could allow other people access as well; allies, former clan mates, etc.

This way, people can take a break from the energy wars, but stay in touch with their mates. And rejoin the clan when they're ready to play again.

And there could be multiple groups of course; starting a group should be as simple as starting a topic. And like Facebook, they're either private or public.

A player's profile could show what groups he's member of;
- Croatia R00ls The World
- Aflac Insurance Board Room
- Former 12Monkeys Members
- DS & Easy's dex/str debate
- Flappy Scrotum Lovers

I dislike it because it is still forcing members out of the clan...whats the point of joining a clan being competitive for x amount of months just to be kicked causing you to lose a mass amount of energy. Some people will like to take a run at total energy I am sure and they would prefer not to play every month.

Who is being forced out of a clan? Did you even read all of Jans' thread?

The suggestion stems from other discussions regarding clans and people taking breaks. But yea, adding 'groups' has technically nothing to do with clans :) Anyone can start / join groups.
