I like how we have 4 free redistributions every 10 levels but what about a complete redistribution option? For those of us who want to try a new build but are too lazy to start a new bot :p

im not saying it should be free but maybe an option?

Well, you are able to buy redis, but they can be a lot of money

Exactly, plus its only up to 35 at a time I believe. Costly and time consuming. I understand that having a complete redistribution too readily available would take away from some key aspects of the game though.

Maybe it could be a "reward" every 50 levels or so?

No they should just take away the limit again. Like bots2 use to be.

I'm in support of this until I make a level 250 bot to dominate tournaments then I think it should be set to 35 again.

I'm totally against this. The current redis system is working fine, everyone knows it. Total redissing would simply ruin everything...

I don't think that removing the limit on how many redis would ruin everything.

How many games give you the option to redis anything at all?

Not being a jackass, serious question. Because i have a feeling it's not that common to have something like redis points, let alone unlimited.

Redis points are for n3wbs, to make the game more player-friendly. :)
Pauss was one of those dumb ones, like totally buying unlimited redis points -.-

it was unlimited in bots2 till like year 2004 or so.
With unlimited redis a guy could do cat2 dominators army in few days.

Of course they're not 'just for noobs'. Unlimited redis allows for extremely fast leveling, and then switching to your desired build. The question is; is that something that should be encouraged, or would it wreck the game?

And like i said, i'm curious to know if there are any other games that allow for changes after you've spent skillpoints (i'm no gamer, so i dont know)

But you'd change it to only being able to but 5 redis every 10 levels and forget the 2 that you get when you level 10 levels. So like you don't get the 2 free redis you have to buy the 5 every 10 levels but it doesn't stop at 35.

so? I will make a pure INT bot and I will have 97 redisses at level 195, which I could reach in few days with 107int (base) :) this would ruin everything. Really

Imo unlimited redist wont do much difference to what is now. Yes some few bots may be lvling a tad
Faster than now but not by alot. You dont simply dump 10000 int onto a bot simply that stats are important for gear and weapons.

Unlimited redist will however help alot of newbs who put like 60 int onto their bot cause they didnt know better, thinking more xp and money is good and didnt buy all the redist early on.

But you gotta think you wouldn't be the only person to do that. And having clan wars at high levels there'd be a hell of alot more high level bots out there instead of taking agesto get them there :P. Morepeople level more targets in the end.

You don't understand. This would make levelling too easy, especially for advanced players. If game is too easy - it becomes boring.

Jans - "How many games give you the option to redis anything at all?"

WoW allows you to respec. Each time you do so it costs you more.

I personally would've loved more redis when floR added the new high level weapons as I had a 40 lvl stretch, which was hard work at 350+. However as long as wiggin does not go for years without adding weapons/armour the current redis limit should be ok.

The WoW approach could work here as well :) But the cap on kudos kinda prohibits this though.

Another game that I know of is City of Heroes, its a less popular game I think but is also an MMO like WoW. Unfortunately i haven't played that game recently enough to remember how it worked... i wanna say they had it set so you could make separate builds for your character. it would cost a set amount of money, but you could distribute the points you earned differently for each build and then switch between the different builds you wanted.

Applying that to Bots4 may work, it would give higher levels chances to try different things without having to completely destroy what they started with.

WoW allows you to respec. Each time you do so it costs you more.

But after like 3-5 respecs you pay the same amount every time, and the cost is quite insignificant.

Why are there always suggestions to rescue people who made mistakes? Bought a wrong buff, let me change it! Wrong stats distriubted! Let me change it! We're all grownups here (for the most part, I'd like to think so) lets deal with the consequences of our actions, shall we? Make a blunder? Didn't think something through? Deal with the consequences.

What neps said. Safe, riskfree games are stupid and boring. Want to play something riskfree? Go count matches or something. Oh shit, they can ignite.. Toothpicks! Count toothpicks. Beware of the pointy bit though.

i believe toothpicks could be a little too risky for this guy...the whole sharp, pointy end scares him.

Quite a few of the games I play have the option to "redis" your entire characters stats once you hit a certain part of the game. It's usually at a certain spot towards the very early portion of the game after you have gotten a hang of it a little and know where you want to go.

That being said perhaps something like this could be implemented at say level 10 or level 20, where when you reach this level and only at this level you have the opportunity to redistribute all your stats that you have already distributed thus far.

I also play online games where you're not even allowed to have multiple accounts, delete your account and start again or even cheat on purpose to get deleted so you can start again. Also I got minecraft the other day and holy shit if you play survival anything you change stays changed no matter how hard you try.

Just saying imo this suggestion is for pussies.

i think a total re distribution could work if you make the consequences worth it. for example you can only totally redistribute once per month or when you do a total re distribution your bot suffers from a debuff called memory loss and gets -10 to all stats.

I like the idea because all the games i play now days have it. its just a matter of balancing.

Two major games I have played that have something like this are Fallout 3 & Fallout New Vegas. You start the game, play to a certain degree in which you can level up and what not. You hit that certain point and it ask if you would like to change anything, Character Name, Base Stats, Perks, etc. Basically a totla redo of anything you have accumulated to that point.

Now certain aspects shouldn't be used, such as allowing names to be changed, for obvious reasons, but to allow a person a total redis once they hit level 5 or 10 would be a nice gesture for those people that have never played and don't know what they're doing.

I'm also aware we have bot reset, but you have to wait until you meet the requirements for that to be an option, and not everyone wants to return to level 1 once they figure out what they're doing.

Also, I understand this could be exploited by veteran players who just add int at first until they reach that level then "total redis" it off, but at that level it shouldn't really be a huge factor.
