I was getting all into a suggestion not long ago and I hit the preview button, only to receive a lovely message telling me I'd idled out. #^&*%^^&%$ That took me like 10 mins to write again...

To avoid this, it might be neat to have a timer next to your post so you know if you're about to idle out. Or something to that effect, like if you've been idle for too long and your next action happens to be making a forum post, you should be automatically logged back in. Or even a message warning you that you'd logged out and holding your post material until you log back in.

Amateurs ;)

- open second tab, log on to bots
- in timed out tab, go back, see your precious comment reappear & submit it.

Sorry about that. I don't know what I'll end up doing to fix this, but I will do something.

In the meantime, I suggest doing what I do as a workaround:

1. Periodically click open a new link in a new tab (middle click!).
2. Copy large posts to clipboard before submitting.

You should consider using HTML5 to solve this, and save the whole post in localStorage when the preview button is clicked. I think most browsers support this feature by now.
