Why do we have to pay for auto-repair after almost every fight, whats the point of this?

I mean in every fight your armor/weapon take some damage and loses it's durability, so what's the point of auto-repair than?

you answered your own question there in a way.

if your armour and weps take damage, wouldnt you want to repair them? thats what auto repair is for. just a little helpful tidbit for you instead of doing it yourself. now it wont fully repair it cus then there would be an excess of kudos in the game from ppl having fully repaired gear, so they wouldnt need to buy more.

To be precise, your equipment loses condition over the course of battle. At the end of battle, this condition can be restored at the cost of durability points. This is what the auto-repair pays for.
