I've been camping for a Que Hegan, and in the meantime, I've been training just as most people do, so I equipped a Crown of Thieves for the intelligence bonus it gives. It does, however, give -12 strength which put me under the requirement to wield a Que Hegan. I figured when one came up in the showroom, I'd sell the Crown of Thieves, buy the best available helmet in the showroom, and then buy the Que Hegan (essentially gaining my 12 strength back). However, I couldn't equip the absolute best helmet in the showroom (armet I think) because it was "too weak for me."

I think you should be able to equip whatever you want, but it then makes your bot unfightable if you equip something too weak.

Except it could be abused so that no one would be able to attack you while youre offline

IF you wanted to buy the best available armor of that particular slot (head, feet, arms) in the showroom at the time, I think you should be able to, no matter what your strength (assuming it's higher, not lower). That way, it can't really help you benefit from it.

I think you should be required to have a certain str and/or dex to buy or wield an item. On the other hand I also like that even if you buy it and stash it it still requires you to have the required str/dex to equip it.

On your topic, I agree. I think if you want to equip something that is below you, you should be able to and remain attackable thus putting you at a very horrible disadvantage because your defense will be substantially lower.

Ive had the same problem and had to redis all my saved points to get the required strength for what i wanted while training-i had one piece of armour for int and one for strength/con(manic).I took the the points from my int and as we all know at this level int is crucial for gaining levels.
