I'd estimate that 25% of my middle clicks end up firing the event twice, sometimes three times, instead of once. This is very irritating when reading these forums because of the amount of "middle click to open link in new tab" clicking I do. I've not seen any settings in mouse options nor been able to turn anything up with my google-fu.

FUCK.

Hold Ctrl+Left click instead?

It has always annoyed me that links in forums don't automatically open in a new tab. If only!

Hmm, that would be a nice workshop option...

Or maybe not. There are cases where I do mean to open threads in the current tab (e.g., open subforum, only one thread with new replies). I just wish my damn middle click would work correctly. I haven't trained myself to ctrl+click by impulse yet instead of middle click, plus that requires both hands.

It always annoys me when websites dictate how links are opened. I can browse by myself tyvm.

You can still right click any link and have it open how you want.

Huh, *tries that out*

Wtf. I upgraded to Windows 7 the other day and when I middle click it makes the window see through and shows me a list with little versions of all my active windows in it.
