This is meant to (1) even the playing field between those with lots of trophy points and those without

everyone who has trophy points payed & played hard for there points.

(2) turn buffs more into what I wanted them to be - temporary >enhancements, not (effectively for some) always-on enhancements

i dont know about everyone else but i'd buy all three and use them to level a little then turn them off and energize.

and (3) force you to make more choices (more buff variety is in store >for the future).

great. more things to choose from with one choice a day?(dont get me wrong im all for new choices, just not stupid restrictions)

And Ender, dont take this personally. i love everything else you've done for the game but this has lost me a little.. Show a man a turkey and give him a quail..

Hobo, the reason buffs are restricted is because it became clear that you could buy yourself a win or the highest level if you invested in stars.

wiggin is adamant that star buyers are not advantaged disproportionately as he has seen how that negatively impacts other games.

That is an incredibly altruistic pov as he is potentially limiting the amount of money he receives from the game, Brave move for the good of the average player.

make buying stars a non repeatable trophy. solvered

then take that idea to suggestions for a constructive discussion ;)

My intention when I added buffs was for them to be temporary benefits that would occasionally help you out. Due to some oversights, they ended up being "always on" benefits and so the once-per-day limit was put in place to address this. I'm sorry if you don't like it, but it needed to be changed in order for buffs to become what I originally meant for them to be.

Also, some of you need to lighten up a bit. You're not going to like all of my decisions and that's both normal and fine, but I generally don't bother responding to the kind of heavy-handed criticism I'm seeing here. If you wanted to be effective, you should have posted a calm, thought-out thread in the suggestions forum. Instead, there's now something like a half dozen derivative threads littered about, all curse-laden tirades with no constructive content.
