So, I have 10 base STR due to this bot being a DEX pure. Trying to by the only (shit) armors I can (ones that don't require STR) and I'm "Too strong" for that armor. I find this kind of funny to say the least bit.

I was not aware that there was any other variable for determining minimum armor STR req aside from base STR. Well, I guess it's Ender's way of telling you that pure DEX sucks. |

Having only 10 str base is as stupid as the armours being too strong. |

I think it has something to do with the str requirement being zero and the equation for factoring in level 50+ bots and their minimum gear requirements. |

Yes with 10 base str, you can only equip items with at least 5 req str starting at level 50. |

Just to throw this out there, do you think you could change those first pieces of gear to require 5 str? Would solve this issue, it has came up twice now. |

Is a level 50+ bot with 10 str even a legitimate build though? I can't imagine it's going to be competitive regardless of whether it can equip 0 req str armor or not. |

that armor isnt any better for protecting you than having no gear on at level 50+ but id get annoyed pretty fast if i had to see the message for all my armor being broken beyond repair after every fight/train. people will always try to build bots regardless of how 'legitimate' they may be from a build stand point, so if there isn't going to be a required str/level like this is for con, then there should be armor available to use no matter what level you may be if you never put a single point into str. i like easy's idea of changing the requirements of the lowest level armor to 5, if that's what it takes to allow you to purchase it once you reach level 50+ |

Do all builds have to be legitimate? The way I see it, it is another avenue of exciting gameplay to explore. For instance; My bot, All Int, has been putting every available point into intelligence(except for keeping up with min. con rule). He is currently 49, if I was to level him to 50 he would be unable to replace his current gear. Me getting 15 str for new gear wouldn't make him able to defeat other bots but would only decrease my gameplaying experience. I don't see much difference between this and freaking. |

If 10 strength at level 50 isn't legitamate, why allow it at all? Make the user have a (level / 4) = min strength rule. |

mysql> SELECT COUNT(*) FROM bots WHERE exp > 9377463 AND str = 10; +----------+ | COUNT(*) | +----------+ | 11 | +----------+ 1 row in set (0.78 sec) Sorry, I think there are better things to spend my time on. |

quite true - its easy for we the players to suggest this or that and say how important it might be to a number of players, but in the grand scheme of things, it's just not that big of a deal |

Sounds like this policy is an anti-whore/dump rule. No more making phony bots at high levels. |

So in a month or so when someone equips the total annihilator, you won't add any new weapons either until more people equip it? |
