Hello, I think this would be a good month for me to rant about SURPRISE updates. Plain and simple, I am not a huge fan of game changing updates that are complete surprises, especially when said complete surprises have a few flaws in them that could be remedied with a 2nd or 3rd or 4th look at them.

I could continue this rant by pointing out a few obvious mistakes but I am not so sure that is very constructive.

When unemployed ender was developing this game, surprise updates weren't so bad because he was constantly available to fix/change/implement his continuing ideas, which was kinda cool to be that connected with a developer.

With now employed and girl-friended ender developing this game, updates still come but they are a little more sparingly and he isn't constantly available to fix mistakes or be in tune with the day to day mood/feel of each update.

Personally, I feel like the 2nd scenario is going to be the norm for a while. That being said, I would like it if Ender would release more and or even specific details about what he is going to update next with a 'loose' schedule of when. A more specific 'when' the closer to release. I know that is a sort of hell for developer with the pressure but I feel like this would lend stability to the game and show people that updates are coming and when they might be.

I am not demanding a complete schedule of every little update that he pushes through, but I wish big updates would have a loose schedule to them. Like this energy change he hinted at way back in october or whatnot and now is sort of doing with tournaments. :\ (not sure if that is going to be the next release or not but feels like it)

tl;dr Be more vocal about 'whens' and 'whats' of big updates/changes.

Kinda like runescape. Like the promote a whole month of updates. Sometimes those updates don't happen, but aleast they said it might happen.

Having a schedule and setting goals helps reaching them. Cliche but true.

Perhaps strive for a new update every 2 months? Or 3 or 4 months, whatever. Some kind of cycle anyway.

I like a bug/change every couple of weeks. And a big update every monthish.

Even if the changes that come every couple of weeks are already done, they can be released at different times so it "looks" like stuffs going in the right direction :P

Perhaps what you consider to be bugs/glitches, Ender doesn't. I like additions more than anything. Games get stale if they're left to just sit. So the occasional bug squash might be nice, but I'd rather not see any of them, not because I don't want them fixed, but because hopefully there aren't any.
