Why can't I type in only the italicized word now and get the captcha to go? I'm having to type both the other thing which we've seen can be a picture (how do you type a picture..really) and the italicized letters that are scrunched together. Did Google change the captcha rules?

Same issue here. It seems to be a change, a bad one really :/

Looks like you need to type both "words", but other one can anything. Like type gdglgdl or just fff and its fine :)

Tested and it works, the one that's normally easier to read can have any letters instead, but the harder to red italicized one has to be what it is.

Has anyone else noticed that captcha has gone back to needing just the italicized letter grouping? I like :)

Think it changes every now and then I noticed different ones in the past week

captcha is really starting to annoy me, i swear i type exactly whats in the box in full, letter for letter, and yet its still saying try again... 4th time usually accepts it.. painful

what i usually do is get another captcha until i reach an easy one which is clear and visible. i dont input any captcha that im not sure at. it works for me this way.

have the same problem as TheEnnd even with clearly visible and readable text, started to type both words in again seems to work (most of the time)

I have always put both words in so I've never failed :D

Still waiting for this to be implemented.

Hah. For what it's worth, my long-term plan is to get the automated bot-detection systems sophisticated enough that I can completely turn off captcha. One day...
