Don't even try to apply to Eternal or Escapism, because if you want to join a clan you need to build another 10 bots with a strong build, they are called(dumpers). You must have them before applying. I think it's bullshit. Discuss

You had a 10+ hour session, just pull another 10 hour day and build 10 level 60 dumpers.

not at all, bots of a low level do not require dumpers.

bots can still compete for a top 10 spot without dumpers, new players if they put the time in can compete with the best of them.

Use ratio whores, build your own or ask a clan you're looking to join for access to some of their low ones. There is a TON of bots below level 50 with good ratios and Crab Whistlers equipped. Run a dex or balance build for your dumpers so that the shopping is quicker.

Having dumpers isn't a requirement to join Escapism, so I'm not sure who you got that info from. Given that the min EPH is 20 now as opposed to 5 a few months ago, it is very possible to make a big score at low levels.

It's obviously an advantage to have dumpers though, for conserving trophy points and having a source of guaranteed energy when things get competitive.

I didn't mean to come off as a dick by the way, but this is kinda a dead horse. Honestly i don't like dumpers either, it sucks, i'd rather play the bot i'm scoring on, but until these new 'PvE changes' go through, i don't have that option. It's true you can get a big score without dumpers at the lower levels, but the energy isn't always there, and at level 80 i'm not sure you could put out the same numbers as a level 40 :P.

if you wanna team with the best you gotta be the best simple. theres no space in either team for a bot whos goin too put out a very minimum score

well with all the competition already around the level 80 area theres no much energy too be gained. so meaning you would be lucky too get 200k in a month

7 bots from Eternal and 7 bots from Escapism has less than 200k energy, then why it's so bad :)

idk about escapism, but the 7 bots in eternal with 200k and under and high members who have been members for over a year and have done there fair share in the day

The same in escapism though maybe not as long, house bitch, itachi etc are all established members of the clan who have earned the right to be lazy this month :P but spots can easily open up if someone shows an interest and proved they could be a valuable, reliable member of the clan

your a new player and had a 10 hour session the other day (not many new players do this) either create dumpers the way you got your bot to 80 or pay someone to make them for you

did you even ask the owners of eternal or escapism?

@Destind Scaraba, aka Fishwick, does have dumpers for that bot. Not sure about Arbor. They're a clan called Legends.

@Dory You may not want to shoot for a spot in one of the top clans during a month where they are going toe to toe with each other. I suggest you join another clan if you want some dumper/build help so that you can prepare yourself to join Eternal/Escapism.

And as for the suggestion of Rivan making a dumper help thread, that's unlikely. He loves his builds too much. Plus he has so many stars he could probably make 10 or more super-freaked bots in a day.

Or alternatively you could just be an NC in either Eternal or Escapism and gain their knowledge ;)

Zal's right, I have a few dumpers for Scabara, though I only started using them a few days ago. At level 40-55 dumpers aren't required for a top ten finish normally due to Zal's whores, but this is a mental month. Arbor doesn't use dumpers and joined the race a little later than everyone else so they aren't 'required' but are helpful when energy is scarce like this month

i sailed along without dumpers just fine, and i wasnt in a winning clan only once at end of month. (sometimes i was NC so im not leading in top clan trophy count, but i guess ill tie at the top at end of this month if we make it)

Scoring without dumpers is crazy fast, its easy to achieve 30k energy per hour if you have dedication to do it. I dont, until someone says i have to...then i do it :D

dumpers just slow everything down, but they do help with equipment damage, repair costs and trohpy points.

I believe its best to have some dumpers just in case you run out of energy to take, but attacking weak bots is faster way to gain energy.

if i was able to survive in both clans then i dont think you "must have them before applying"

New players shouldn't expect to be accepted in the top3 clans/guilds/whatever of any game. Nor should they want to join those. What's the effing point in joining a team that's already number one?

And then complain you're not accepted... geez. Go join a mid-level clan and start kicking ass.

Well, FF is, its just ran by two people baiscally. Plus you can look at the clans forum list to see as well.

add to that FF is slowly getting people so some spots arent just the others that run it.

Cant just compare every clan to those two. First off not everyone has the resoucers as they do. Not fair to compare the other clans to them :/ not even giving anyone else a chance at their efforts.

well i believe i got top clan plats on merit, shoe.

i never did score the most, cause honestly, i dont have so much time, and when i do get the time, bots isnt on top of list. But there are other kind of contributions that one can make to the clan. I dont think that energy alone should be looked at when considering if someone deserved the plat.

you definitely deserve all the plats you've got, that goes without saying, but to try to say you got them without needing dumpers is a bunch of bull, it took the hard effort of your clan mates with their dumpers to get you that plat - a clan of 20 members with your energy collection doesn't get a top clan plat, that's a fact.

well all i have is 4 bots and not one of them are dumpers and yet iv a bot in escapism

how about the other 15 months #2? but anyway, the op had bmailed me about joining eternal and i told him at that time i was considering requiring new members to have dumpers. this month especially showed me how important it is to have dumpers available to supplement your score. obviously this was not what he wanted to hear, i dont know why he is also saying escapism requires the same thing, not sure if he tried applying to escapism as well and was turned down.

i am only trying to express to the OP that having dumpers is necessary if a clan is to be successful, sure, there is room for some members to "sail along without dumpers" but in the end, its the guys with the dumpers that win months for their clans.

weird to hear coming from a guy that didnt use dumpers alot. i guess i think that its possible to do massive score without dumpers. on lower level yes, but after enders change in energy system, level doesnt matter really

sign of the times i guess, and it really only matters when you have as much competition as we do this month. other months its not as important, but still a good idea to make them, even if you dont have to use them.

Shoe is right its great to have some dumpers on hand even if its 10.

Dumpers are a good thing if you run out of targets and you have nothing else to do you can always switch bots and dump to your bot to boost your score some more.

look at the top 12 this month i don't think 1 person hasn't used dumpers to boost their score.

About Escapism being a good clan now...

I want to point that it took 9/10 months till we get our first win. The clan was found in March (yes we do one year this month, another reason we cant lose) and we won for the first time on December.

I'm proud of being part of the construction of the clan, to turn it what it is now, one of the best clans! It took alot of effort. We built alot of dumpers and win dumped them, recruited many people and some are the best players now! There was alot of work there for sure. I'm just fucking proud of this clan, this team! Thanks to them all :)

About the requirement to join Escapism is very simple. We want good scorers. It doesnt matter your strategy as long as you get big scores. Thats for the competition spots. If you want to stay in the clan as a NC, we welcome those people too. The social part of the clan (namely the clan forum) is very important and those NC can contribute to that. Of course they can also learn and be helped by other members!

For new players: the tips here are good, like join a "mid" clan thats active and show your work. Get a good score, then apply to a big clan if you really want to join them. Well, you maybe not have to apply because you will surely be asked to join them if you make a good score :D

Very well stated Esv. You just have to understand people don't want to take the time or effort that is involved in becoming an extreme competitor like you guys. They want instant gratification. I'm not saying you guys didn't either. You did, when you first started out, made a very tough initial run, but fell short when you realized your mediocre set-up wasn't going to cut it. Rather than bitching and moaning, you guys laid back, worked your asses off to build yourselves dumpers and quality bots for the clan. Then you kicked ass.

Clearly this strategy hasn't caught on yet. Eternal did it from the onset, Escapism got wise and followed suit. Clearly the model needs to be followed until Ender makes "game changing" changes that doesn't require it, but until then you have to put forth the work and effort to compete in this league.

In our first try, September 2012, me and khael already had 2 full clans of dumpers, Myriad had 2 clans too and Rene 1 clan, so we had alot of dumpers. We just lacked more members. Now we have more people and more dumpers of course.
