Pay $60 buck for a game, can't play it unless I install steam, can't play it unless I update steam, can't play it unless I download patches. Have used up this months internet, can't play it.
Fuck you American businessfucks who think everyone has 24/7 ultrahighspeed fibre optic cables coming out of their arse.
Fuck you, culture that assumes I want to facebook and twitter and e-mail and shit.
Good luck future gen console users.
*rant off*

hobbit holes are notorious for their restricted interwebs access.
I suggest you cosy up with an orc their access is unlimited!

Wait what, I can play steam games offline. As for consoles, you're a little late, but yes they're gonna be dead. And as far as Xbox is concerned, it's dead already.
|
Gpof he is referring that the game needs to be registered through steam before you get access to play, then you need to install all the patch updates before you play, then log through steam to play although you are playing ;offline; you still have to through the internet quite a bit.

That's why I've always hated steam, and will never support it. A while back, I bought/was gifted a couple games that required steam. Portal was one that I purchased. I payed $40 retail for it, opened the packaging (no return any more), went to install. Steam tells me that I need to download the game...
Uh, what? I purchased a disc from the store with no game on it. 4GB download on a 1Mb (100KB/sec) connection, with a 250MB data plan. Thanks a lot, valve, go f%#k yourself.
Never got to play portal, never got to play half-life2, never got to play a lot of (what I hear) awesome games.
|
You never got to play Portal or Half-life 2?
That sucks massively, I found this fix so I could install Fallout New Vegas on a friend of mines computer that insisted on downloading it.
Hope you still got those games, they are as good as you have heard.

what the flying fuck? are you neanderthals still using dial-up connection? who the fuck buys limited internet access at home!?! try leaching from mcdonalds free wireless you poor fuckwits
|
Some places in NZ are still on dial-up as they are in the middle of arse nowhere, in NZ of all places where the internet isn't quite first world everywhere yet! We generally call them farmers though as they have the guns and neanderthal is, not nice ;)
At the time of this I had moved into a new place and had used up what was left of their 150gb monthly allowance of ultra high speed fiber. We have more now but it's still not unlimited as we ain't gonna use more than that, and it doesn't cost as much. So as to who buys limited internet access at home, I guess people with common sense and a budget?
try leaching from mcdonalds free wireless you poor fuckwits
At the time it was like 2am, and I'm an hours walk AT LEAST from the nearest McDonalds. Complaining is easier than walking for ages in the cold ass middle of the night just to play a game.
Omfg I know walk, I must be a poor bastard! Walking and no internet!
Well you can stick your stuck up anonymous leading edge, tryhard, idiot, hipster yuppie attitude up your arse mate ;)

Hey Kulku, I hate to inform your undernourished mind but there are parts of the world that don't have access to fast and unlimited internet. And in some places that do have it, there also exist people who can't afford it.
|
Yea net is outrageous in some areas on price. Go fuck a goat.
|
|
You used 150GB in a month? Holy shit. We have a sprint card/router and it is on all the time, with 5 people using it. We average around 13GB a month.
|
I average 200-300 Gbs a month.
|
What do you download to achieve that?
|
|
you should've asked for the chronic masturbator package
|
What do you download to achieve that?
I dunno about him but, watch.tv, huge youtube music playlists, cracked games, season after season of television and movies take up my bandwidth.
My uTorrent runs at ~4mb/s.
