So the wife and I returned from our cruise today. Using the bathroom at Penn Station I watched multiple people try to use the old manual soap dispensers as if that's where the water came from... Of course between them the top of the counter rounds out toward them with the black square which had the sensor behind it...

Really?

I was at a loss of how to describe it, do they know how the toilet flushes? It uses the exact same thing.

Just wow, and we're supposed to eventually discover out way of this rock? The people lacking common knowledge in our population are quite the subject for study.

Took me by surprise.

It takes effort to learn stuff. Much easier to just live with dirty hands.

I hate people. Most of them just stop learning after 15 years of life or so, and become parrots for life. Braindead morons. Our fucking society. So proud. The mighty civilisation.

More like fucking scrubs.

I suspect it's a case of people just being on auto pilot. Performing a task they do regularly in the manner they usually do it.

Not necessarily stupidity, more zombie mode.

Its probably due to boring / repetitive jobs, witch make zombie mode activated.

And its easier to become a zombie than get bored again and again. The problem is that those people can't stop being zombies, and every challenge makes them angry or just uninterested. - they seem retarded.

On global scale i'd blame completely wrong priorities of humanity.

"We want army, we want to be strong, have most tanks, we will kill everyone else. We dont care about education / science programs, as long as we can kick everyone's ass. We are best." #everyfuckingcountryandmurica

Nice eco.

I don't understand how people get into that mindset. Wouldn't you want to be present, to observe situations, not miss important things. Almost wish I could let my mind go on vacation without the rest of me. Maybe I'm just too much of a science mind guy to not observe anything.

I dont know about other countries, but in croatia we have those small containers (bottles, 50 kg), used for gas in ovens etc. And on one occasion my mother actually tought its gas inside, not liquid. That's right, 50kg of matter in gas state, inside of this.

O, ya, the US uses propane gas (or other some natural gas) taken into the home by gas lines from either city supply or a huge task outside for running the oven and stove top. Use small tanks of propane for grills outside for barbecuing.

Simple physics, things compress and get smaller. Gases condense into a liquid under pressure, been happening and known for a long time lol.

I observe a lot of stuff. I do go into zombie mode in the morning getting ready, heading to work, eating lunch, going to bed.

It's almost like my body is on a timer, at 10am, i check my phone for new iFunny pictures (yes!), at 5:30 the same thing.

I can't be in zombie mode at work because every car I work on is different/different task.

Much like Alan I've done this travelling to & from work. Not all the time, just when I need to. It's a way of gaining a few hours waking sleep when I'm knackered.

Zombie mode engaged: Walk to station, get on train, travel, walk to tube station, travel, walk to office :zombie mode off.

Welcome back! I saw your ship in port when I was getting ready for work yesterday morning and thought of you. I hope your trip was enjoyable. Sorry you had to through Penn Station; that place is a shithole.

Really though compared to the subway stations it's way cleaner appearing. Second time being in it, no bad experience yet.

I imagine in the coming week there will be a new photo book of our cruise on facebook which both my wife and I will put on each of our profiles. Have to get home and organize them first though.
