Someone logged on to train again some how anad has now started offering off my stars for other clans and even changed my bot pass to train again. So just so people know if uve gotten messages that said my name it wasnt fucking me so all offers are off the fucking table.

Well, this is the real Zal here, and I knew nothing of this. Marley had joined my clan a while ago and seemed alright. I did tell him a long while ago that I gave my bots to rith and he sold them but I didn't send out any passwords or anything. Marley as far as I know did this all himself.

I'd suggest banning/making a public statement about him so long as he is active. I'm sorry to rithy that somebody framed me and took your stars. It is essentially theft when any money is involved, including stars. The fact that he sold your stars and sold them for his own profit constitutes theft, even if the password was given because he was assuming a false identity. Pathetic scum on this game, now you know why I don't want to play with you assholes anymore.

first 2 were related that u psoted jans. first 2 were both busniess deals and a error in the game as well. second deal was due to my stupidity of thinking a certain person was honest. this new situation, like zal said was someone acting just like him and did a good job of it. Rith, don't have a go at Jans, his underlying point is you should stop unnecessarily sharing passwords as bad stuff keeps happening to you. He's right and you really do need to be more careful. Not many other people have rants every few months about a bot being lost because they shared info with the wrong guy.

I don't see in any way how I contradicted myself, I would honestly have a better chance of finding a needle in a hay stack them lie my arse off just to get an account, I can make my own bot which I have done and quite capable of doing. I don't see why everyone has pointed there fingers at me, I'm unknown to everyone, I keep to myself and have no intention of stealing accounts, I've bought stars on this game for myself, why on earth would I want to do something that could get me banned or my accounts reset. Well all I'm going to say is that when someone has done this in the past (not really on this scale mind you, this is downright evil), it's somebody with a personal vendetta against the other person. But as for naming who is doing this, only Ender can really find out, and even if nothing can be / is done about this matter it would be nice just to know who did it rather than having to accuse people. Because all accusing people gets is "I didn't do it" even if that person is the thief himself/herself. And since we can't see facial expressions on the internet, we can't tell whether or not they are lying.

I'm copy/pasting this from the last thread Jans linked because it's still relevant. I said this about a year ago:

To be clear on my policy in these situations (this isn't the first time someone has asked me to check who was on a bot and I'm sure it won't be the last), I would be overstepping my bounds if I provided information. That sort of IP data information is private and not in my place to share. I'm sorry to say this rith, because I like you, but I think that's the only reasonable policy I can have.

Note that I would step in if I believed some sort of hacking or otherwise fault of the code was involved, but in the vast majority of these cases, the root cause is password sharing (as looks to be the case here).

And it still stands. Sorry that there's not much I can do to help you. Here's my advice for securing your stuff:

1. Lock down your email. Change the password and don't tell anyone.
2. Lock down your bots. Change the passwords and don't tell anyone.

It's pretty simple. If you take these two steps and honestly follow them and then something happens, I can investigate.

I like to state here that my identity was used to gain access to the bots and that I, the one with the passwords, did not do anything. By imitating me and getting rith to give away his passwords, it constitutes identity theft in a way because the person who did it did gain from it, whether it was stars in this case or say writing an application for a credit card in the person's name in real life.

But I'm glad to see that dedication to this game is handed to the player with a sheer amount of laziness and staunch rule-following that is the cornerstone of bad customer service. I could argue that your IP protection rule is fairly useless as once a person signs up for a game and accepts the rules of the game as much as the other player, then they are in the same boat. To give one person special protection when they have done something wrong and make the victim suffer more is erroneous. You may as well be hiding criminals. If you had dealt with it yourself and not revealed an IP that would have also been fine, but to use a rule to make yourself free and clear and condescend the victim for trusting a person who falsified his identity to gain access to his property is excessively mean. What is done is done, and your instructions won't help rithy in the present but only in the future, a future that is bleak at best. If I were him I'd tell you to go fuck yourself and leave the game forever.

Thing is, Ender still getting stable income from the game, because there are lots of players who buying stars from him. So he doesnt need to do anything with a game. As long as he getting peoples money, he doesnt need to update game or do anything at all. In this case, to help people with cheaters. I mean this game didnt get any bigger update for ages and you still expecting to get any help from Ender? And now, in fact, Ender even inviting people to scam more. He already did that he wanted and now he could do nothing, but collect your money.

If someone logged onto your bot they had to have your info to do it. If your e-mail was hacked they had to have some sort of information prior to log into it. Long story short (Ender's point) is had the player protected his stuff better than this never would have happened.

It is not Ender's responsibility that a person's accounts were hacked. If you keep your stuff secure they will not become hacked. And (not to sound like a dick) but this is the 3rd time this has happened.

It's kind of like a "fool me once, shame on you.." type ordeal.

I do not fault Ender at all.

This is absolutely nothing to do with Ender. It is not his responsibility to chase shit like this up, it is each players individual responsibility not to be get into situations like this. This is why account sharing is banned on most games, because stuff like this happens and people want to blame someone.

Ender has no right to give away the IP of a "hacker", as it isn't hacking, its just social engineering/trust gone wrong. It's not laziness on Ender's part, I'm sure it would be incredibly easy to find out who did it. It's about the principal behind not sharing data with users that trust you.

Actual hacking very rarely happens, people make mistakes all the time. Sadly Rith made one this time but hopefully he will learn from it.

This is the 3rd or 4th time this has happened you cant expect Ender to jump into detective Columbo mode every month and sort out a mess wich im sorry to say is no one but the victims fault. Thanks for the support Bazza + SteelRat. And Leader2, I didn't share any of my passwords. The person who did this did not log on any of my bots and talk to rithy. I don't hand out passwords until I sell bots or give them away.

You all essentially said the same thing xD I said what I said, I guess in my mind people with responsibilities tend to use their power to help those who entrust them with their faith. That's basically it, right? It's the equivalent of those phishing mails you get from your 'bank', asking for your password to 'confirm your identity'.

Don't b-mail details you want to keep secure. Also remember that bmails can't be deleted. So if you hold password details in your box to others bots when you sell; notify the players concerned.
