bots2 itself. It became too old and too boring game, with no updates and same monotony (did i spell it correct?) every single month. Whore raping gets boring after some time, so... Players were quitting etc. Ofc all 3 Jans reasons did their job, but...

the cheating is what drove people off in the first place, it was no fun for most people to have to cs against some clickers going on 3 bots getting 150k in 10 days

Cheating is why I stopped csing. As Kofi said it was incredibly disheartening to try & compete against a clicker.

Plus the upshot of the clickers was armies of stupidly easy whores that were instantly (almost) replaceable.

The cheating for me as well. It was highly frustrating to see them get away with it too, since floR didnt give a crap / gave up.

Lack of floR involvement, though that's really an umbrella term because it covers everything.

Means no updates, no getting rid of (possible) cheaters, that sorta stuff.

generally, when the creator of an online game disappears then it just dies. I'm really surprised bots lasted as long as it did without a lot of involvement from floR. The umbrella term of "flor inactivity" could better be stated as simply, he ceased to try and advance the game/improve the gameplay of those who were playing/try and entice new player to replace the old. If you think about it there were no major updates/involvement from floR for quite a long time. He came out with new weapons every so often but he ceased to be a factor in the game. I feel like that was the #1 reason to the downfall of bots. All of reasons steam from that. The other contender for #1 (but I'd put it at #2) The attrition rate of old players didn't balance the rate of new players into the game. If a player left it was incredible hard to replace him with a major force unless you recruited someone from real life. There just wasnt a good way to get people into the game.

Near the end of my time it felt like there were only 40-50 solid player divided amongst the clans... and basically it would be a who could get the most people from the clans not trying to win to cs, and then you would win.

Clickers were also disheartening, mainly because it forced me (using me as a reference because I have the more information about myself than I do about anyone else) to waste an EXTRAORDINARY amount of time on the game when we were "trying to win the month". I'm talking about 8-10+ hours a day. It got to the point where bots became a job instead of a get away from life, so I quit.

I don't want to get too much into the past of bots2 because I felt that I acted wrongly towards many people in the forums simply because they were not in the preverbal cool kids club" and for that I am sorry, but I do think as many people need to accknowledge that bots4 is a new start and treat it as such. Thats not to say we should't have threads like this, because it is important to identify why it died, and how to solve that (those) issues.
