For any particularly acute observers that may have noticed the database size went from ~30MB to ~10MB (information available in the documentation) and were wondering what happened, I finally wrote the stuff that purges old attack data from the database. For keeping track of attack limits and showing fight histories, the game needs to remember each attack. These are irrelevant after 7 days and might as well not exist, so they are now garbage collected hourly.

Oh noes, all this data down the drain? Maybe the guy who runs Bots Unauthorized will log it though..

Technically it's still alive in a backup.

And it's time for someone else to take over as the game historian. I thought about building this sort of stuff into the game (reached level x on day y, etc.), but it just sounds like one big useless hassle. :)

You're turning more into floR every day ;)

Do you have any children out of wedlock yet?

Hrm... you need a historian eh? I recommend checking the Amherst history department. I hear they are pretty good at that sort of thing.
