A lot of my customers at my cafe play it. Quite a rowdy bunch when they come in groups.

nice business you got there, they were pretty exploitable in my country couple years ago. Now everybody has a 2-300 buck notebook or desktop and play home much cheaper.

@Smeagol: wtf dude you let freakster steal your second place

Should have seen that coming. Lol.

Almost all of my regular customers also have computers at home. They go to the cafe to play LAN games, meet up for real money/online game tradess, just hang out, etc. Very gaming oriented. It gets really noisy sometimes, and LAN games at 2:30 AM after too much drinking, some people start acting like children.

It's like a tiny community, a lot of them go there to have fun, not simply because they need internet access.

Plus it is stupid to pay $2,000 for a computer to just play games on to be able to compete at a decent level.

Fact: I wanted to drop out of college to start an internet cafe business with my friend. Fortunately my dad talked some sense into me. (I don't think they're very popular in the US)

On-topic: I don't play LoL.

Asian gaming culture is pretty different, I guess, players prefer going out to cafes and playing LAN games to playing online alone at home. MMORPG players will usually vend items at home, but go to the cafe to grind/do quests/raids. Our WoW players practically live at the shop. Current shop record for longest session is 140+ hours by some WoW player.

Even alone, most players prefer playing in cafes. Especially the casuals. A lot of customers are people who come around just after office hours, still in their office clothes. They'll play shooters or SC or something for an hour or two then head home. Waiting out the traffic I guess.

Yep. In front of their screens. Those that pull multiple-day sessions apparently manage to get by with just a few fifteen-thirty minute naps scattered throughout the day.

They do "freshen up" occasionally in the restroom.
