so wanted to start chat about games they play and what u all think is best at moment ill start

i play wow but graphics r shit

id have to say Aion is best mmorpg at moment so awesome playtime

Played WoW since 2005 or so, tried Age if Conan when that was new, got 4 chars to maxlvl.. then got bored because nothing to do except bugged content, and the game felt "instanced".

Tried Aion aswell when that was new, got 1 char to max lvl, then got bored, the pvp was not really what i was looking for, and flying FFS while pvping, nah.. it sucked :P

So back to WoW, been hardcore gamer there most of my time, been in 2 of the top 10 EU PvE guilds, and atm i am in a "laid-back" swedish guild.

Waiting for D3, oh the grind.. me love long time.

And maybe even GW2, looks promising :)

Was a hardcore WoW player during my bots2 life.. Been on and off with it since bout 2004/5 as well!

Currently playing Rift for a change.. Tried Aion but it sucked donkey's...

Still playing WoW here, have been for about 4 yers now. Tried almost every other MMORPG out there, nothing lives up to the feel of downing a boss you have been working weeks on with your guildies.

GW2 looks good, but I'm sceptical, mainly because everyone is saying it's going to be a WoW killer and we all know what happens to games they say that about. (I'm looking at you Rift, Aion etc)

I played Ogame, it grew boring and tiresome.

EverQuest will always hold a special place in my heart. I loved everything about it - excellent non-instanced dungeon design, great visual style, a vast world to explore, progression, character advancement, and so on. Raiding was truly epic, especially PoP era with 72 players in the raid. It's been hugely influential on me as a game designer and I still go back and reactivate my account every now and then for shits and giggles. I haven't played seriously since the PoP/GoD era though (2004ish).

WoW I played and enjoyed, but never really got addicted to the way I did with EQ. I stopped playing during BC. Maybe my MMO cherry had just already been popped.

Wurm Online is a sandbox MMO that is unlike any other I've played. I've played on and off over the past few years, but haven't been back for probably half a year or so now. The entire world is player-created and maintained. Exploration and building is very unique and fun in this game.

Oh and I should add that Notch of now-Minecraft fame worked on Wurm. I haven't played MC (yes, seriously) but from what I understand they share common elements.

I used to play Nukezone when it first came out. played ir for about a year before I found bots. Think its still pretty huge.

Knight Online, best PK game I have ever played since you need skills to kill someone and every clas can kill any clas if you know how to play.

ah people bitching about diablo 3 being late?

how long has it been, 3 years? thats only 3 years, ONLY, for Blizzard. if you think 3 years is alot, then you are young. Ofc, this isnt Daikatana, but it will still be full of bugs when it comes out. I remember Diablo II getting 83% in one of our magazines, and what it hurt most was that the grade was most likely quite what game deserved in its 1.0 version (paladin + zeal = the fuck im the master of universe)

i just hope they dont rush D3 like they did with D2, i also hope i can kill Wirt. fuckin ressurect that greedy bastard so i can kill him, im not happy with just a leg, i want to kill the motherfucker. 50 gold just to take a look at items. ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE?

all in all, i doubt it will be bigger masterpiece than Diablo the first game, but it should be epic, it is from Blizzard after all.

I was massively into Diablo 2 and LoD, then WoW and I've quit for 3 years now. But I will definitely be playing Diablo 3.

Some of the more interesting MMO's I've played was Phantasy Star: Online, on the Dreamcast, loved it!

numbertwo, i couldn't have said it better myself(that made me feel like Dr.Evil). I own a copy of Diablo for Playstation and i crancked it up just yesterday(i play this more than D2 but i still play that on occasion) =)

As a concept RuneScape is one of the better and i'm still enjoying it after 8+ years. Never played WoW but some different look-a-likes and yea they tend to have nice graphic but that's more or less it ... it's all hack'n'slash to me.

well this isn't an MMO but i picked up Tales of Symphonia for the Gamecube and it's sick. The battle system is amazing.

My favorite rpg of all time was Earthbound for SNES.
