I wouldn't call a eating free meal from Applebees as celebrating.. I'd call it being nice (to Applebees.)

Applebees = one of the worst restraunts I've ever eaten at. Went in hungry.. left hungrier.

Not every establishment in a chain place is going to be the same. I've not been let down.

anyhoo remembering the anniversary of the month/week/day/minute/second is beyond my ability ^^

you could argue that it happens twice ... like in Britain and USA where they use AM/PM instead of a 24 hour clock like the rest of the world :P

That's because we're better than the rest of the world, obviously.

Does that mean it happens 24 times?

actually with the am/pm thing too, 48 times, twice in each time zone

I know this comes off weird, but there are more than 24 time zones.
