Well it's kinda hard to be motivated to play the game when the game creator himself isn't motivated enough to even log in in two and a half weeks. |

Well it's kinda hard to be motivated to play the game when the game creator himself isn't motivated enough to even log in in two and a half weeks. So he's taking a break for a while. How does that affect your motivation? I don't understand the relation (besides obvious things like no perm transfers). Of course, it'd be nicer if Ender would work on the game continuously, but you can't expect someone to be fully involved 24/7/52. |

I put it down to the mature age of the player base (minus SJ). Most people have jobs now and had more spare time back in the day and now they don't. Ender's inactivity has never bothered me, this is is his hobby and isn't his main focus in life. |

Would you prefer to play a game that has an active admin, that constantly gets updated and patched, or one where the admin is inactive indefinitely? For me, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, more updates = more excitement = more motivation to play. Tbh, it doesn't even have to be about updates. It would be nice if he just logged in once in a while to see what's going on/add logos/perm stars, and to let everyone know he's still thinking about the game. I realise he might have lost some interest in working on the game, but I don't think it would be too much effort to just log in and tell everyone he's taking a break or something. The way he's been idle for so long with no communication may give the impression that he's not working on the game anymore, and that's disheartening for new players. |
