Which will give you more experience between now and when I can buy another buff, 250% exp or 250% battle speed?

If you can beat bots/trainbots well the xp buff should get you more XP than speed. However I wouldn't waste so many trophy points on level III, buy the lvl II instead. THere's more benefit per point, lvl I even more so.

Personal play style likely plays into this as well. I know when I played bots2, I preferred longer trains so that there was less clicking because I was often doing other things while playing. So for me, I'd go with exp buffs.

The exp buff will always give more exp per hour than the speed buff. This is because more time is spent fighting and less time is wasted in between fights.

Example:

  • with the 200% exp buff you can do 500 fights in one hour

  • with the 200% speed buff you wont do 1000 fights due to twice as much time wasted between fights. (1000 fights should give exactly the same exp as 500 fights with the 200% exp buff)

So if you take 2 seconds to click the train again link, you waste 1000 seconds with the exp buff and you waste 2000 seconds with the speed buff in one hour. More time wasted means less exp.

And even if you had zero seconds response time:

1000 trains with x2 exp = 2k trains worth of EXP, over 1k trains worth of time.
2000 trains with x2 speed = 2k trains worth of EXP, over 1k trains worth of time.

In other words, same results (other than train count) for half the price, if you use the EXP buff.

In other words, picking speed buff over EXP buff is not only more work (more clicking), it's also bad business.

Neps, how do you feel for speed buff for a 1:1.5DEX shield user at 90+. A lot of the fights last between 15 seconds to 40 seconds, and especially when going for energy I feel this would help more than the EXP buff, which is really secondary right now.

I was talking about levelling/training.

For fighting/energy gathering, speed buff is the logical choice.
