if you could get one update of your choice, what would it be?

I play with a "playing against myself" mindset. I set goals, and I do them. This is going to sound cocky, but I feel like I've already proven to myself that I can win in any area I choose to, if I only commit to it. I play for myself. And I've accomplished most of them, all those that are left are basically a matter of grinding. And this isn't like certain people saying "I could do it if I wanted to, but I just cba." I went and actually did them, so now I'm saying I know I could maintain them if I wanted to. Be they top stat trophies or wins or levels or energy or whatever. There aren't any new challenges that I find interesting. This game is getting boring. We need tourneys, new equipment, new features, events, anything!

I know this is a part-time thing Ender, but we need you! It's been months since any major changes. Many of us really really like this game. Basically, what I'm trying to say is, please don't let this become another bots2.

Tourneys. Either that, or a combination of new formulas and new equipment that rendered all existing builds obsolete. I would love that second one. Like a whole new game. Of course, I doubt that's going to happen.

Not really, I think I just have a little bit better than average understanding of bot builds added to spending a lot of time in front of computers.

I'm not smarter than people or anything. I think it basically just boils down to the hundreds of hours I've spent playing this game.

This mean you are sitting out February? Don't make it too easy for us. Other than that, I agree that there are some needed updates that could readily improve game play, function, and diversity of options.

Tourney's would be nice, as well as an update with energy, equipment, stat function (slight boost to DEX, but could be fixed with the introduction of new equipment), etc. Something to bring in and retain new players.

New statistics to keep track of (top weekly energy scorers, experience gained, kudos obtained, etc. etc. -- HoF for both monthly and weekly). Lots of things that could be added that would improve user experience.

Most dramatic thing you could do is

Delete all weapons and armors and shields. And replace them with new ones.
A new weapon a day or something. No weapon could be nerfed or buffed. It would change the game so much.

Next - Change formulas. Max block = 90. Hitchance formula be more favored for dex bots, etc.

Then : Energy formula being changed.

Yes, tournies would be great.

Tournaments would be nice... And the only way to play this is game is to set goals and beat them, Or find one person and consistently beat them.

I'm worried that the next update is just going to be a nerf to dumping and make things not as fun. :(

No you don't :) dumping is basically a hole in Ed's anti-whore system. He wanted to remove whores from the game by inventing energy, but another problem appeared. So you don't need anything as compensation. And you won't get anything.

It doesn't have to be something directly related to energy. I'm just saying that without dumpers there will be a lot less things to do on here.

Need to have a way to reward activity. Dumpers at the moment, do that in the sense that if you have the time and dedication to have 1 - 3 dumper clans you should be rewarded more than one person on one bot.

I don't having to have dumpers, but it is so very easy to run out of targets if you're any sort of active. So yeah we need a way to reward activity.

I think what you are looking for, neps, is a new game. I mean it - bots has always been a relatively simple game, once you understand the basics of botbuilding, all it becomes is a matter of clicking thousands of links. There's not a lot of strategy inherent in the game, and tbh without major additions/tweaks I don't see that changing. Even tournaments won't really change the grinding nature of the game, it will only give you a few more goals for a few more months.

Ender just doesn't have time to devote to the game anymore unfortunately. Take a break, everyone does at some stage. When you come back, you'll find it a lot more enjoyable than it was when you quit.

Very good point Myriad. Although I'd argue the core of bots will always be just as you stated, there isn't much that can change that, and if it were to change then it wouldn't really be the bots as we know it.

Like Myriad said, you could just take a break. You could just spend less time playing and use the extra time to play something else, although I know how you like to give it your all at whatever you do. But hey, sometimes you gotta switch things up to keep yourself entertained.

I should just make a new identity perhaps, and build up that one's cred. Then I'll race myself.

I'm still around and have been working on updates. Lately I've been a little more busy though so even on the nights where I do have time for game coding, it's just an hour or two. Updates are coming, but won't come as fast as they have in the past.
