Sort of. If you were wondering where I went, I was off to Mexico with the fiance's family for a week.

Now that my summer class is very close to finished I've bought D3. I intend to play bots on my phone and D3 on computer.

End transmission.

OMG TRIO!!!!

You can't just run off without telling anyone. I was worried sick about you! How was I supposed to know if you were dead in a ditch somewhere!? You need to let us know if you are going to be gone and what you are doing and when you intend to be back. It is only fair considering how much we care about you and how much we will worry if you don't let us know where you have gone.

love you!

That's like saying there was no content left to explore after you finished Hell back in D2. There's a shitload of other content. It's just the gaming culture nowadays, that if you don't get an achievement for something, it's not worth doing. Hunting for items for example. I consider that content. Or PVP. I guess nowadays anything that doesn't give a badge isn't really considered "content" anymore.

I'm also pretty sure some of the crafting achievements could fall under the classification of 'hunting for items'. I'm sure rivan or one of the atreides members could clarify what the 'all achievements' task could entail. As far as I know there is:

  • crafting items
  • picking up 1bill+? gold. ithink athene got that achievement
  • leveling up a number of each of the different classes to 60 and completing the game with each one
  • doing random things like breaking jars or killing x amt of mobs at once

the only thing that I think isn't included in the list of achievements, but am unsure about is: speed runs, but athene has been doing a few of them and I doubt blizzard will vouch for any speed runs given bashiok's attitude.

I will admit my love for the classic Diablo had curbed my liking of this game. In my naive very first impression of this game I felt disappointed because it only felt like a hack and slash (I'm playing Barb).

Then I was like... DUH. On D2 I didn't play Barb anymore I played the others, so it took more strategy with sill swapping and stuff for the immunes. In D3 I'm just starting A2 with a barb, and haven't needed to switch my skills much at all (though I wish there was hot keying for skills) so of course it's going to feel like hack and slash. I'm sure it'll feel much closer to D2 after I pass normal and start playing the other characters.

The Acts also seem to pass much much slower, it took me like 10 hours to pass Act 1. But I don't mind the long Acts, just caught me by surprise.

Also in D2 I did enjoy item hunting and doing runs, I'm just not up to that point in this one. Are there tiem tables up yet does anyone know?

Blizzard has a site set up with all the items available. Item drops are based on ilvl as they were in D2 but unlike D2 boss drops have been altered so as to make champions/elites as good or even better source of items. For the low levels whatever you happen to find is normally good enough up until some bosses. Some can be pretty hard. There's been many a times when I couldn't get past them solo. But as it stands I also believe that public games are fairly full of could-be hackers.

The best idea is to play solo and/or with friends. When you want to do runs a good idea is to look at the public games for the quest you're on and see what level it suits. If you're looking for lvl 30 stuff for example, you have a few choices as there ill be a good 2-3 or more places where you can hunt and they may all drop stuff around your level. The second and third options for items is blacksmithing and having friends with extra stuff. Me and rithy have lots of extra stuff you can have + we're available for any boss battles you struggle with :)

I have not had any problems as a Barb, when I die it's because the health buble doesn't stand out enough to pay attention to in peripheral visions as it was (bright solid RED) in the other Diablo games.

My tag is Xeldier #1929
