Anyone else in the UK been hit by the storm? Nearly everywhere is flooded here. The lightning hitting ground and causing holes in the ground. The rivers burst. Even my house flooded.. :(

More rain yet to come mate. Not looking forward to it. Just hope its not to the extent it was yesterday.

im in wigan only had little showers and during them showers had thunder its awful what happening all over uk

Lightning hit the Tyne Bridge & the River Tyne burst its banks. Newcastle City Centre got evacuated. Hospitals got evacuated. Front yard was flooded. The Tyne Tunnel was full of water. Nearly all the roads are closed off due to flooding.

I suggest anyone who thinks theyre gunna get it. Get your sand bags, wellies and buckets at the ready.

Yep yesterday i got flooded. Was out with my mother with buckets trying to bail the water away(which is not easy when you have an arm in a bandage) . At 4:15pm the lightning struck and we watched it hit the Tyne Bridge. My grandfathers roof collapsed with all the rain.

Im lucky i live on a bit of a bank. Just down the road from me my friends house was flooded up to their waist. Everything got ruind.

Roads are starting to get opened again. The Tyne Tunnel is open. Metro stations were hit the worst. There were cars over turned and everything -.-

Was not a nice storm i can say that.

ive just come back from devon and that was mostly flooded 2 days ago

Lol what a pussy storm. But I suppose it would hit the UK fairly hard since most large urban areas are low-lying areas in comparison to where I live. I live in Saskatchewan mind you and our altitude above sea level is normally around a good 500 meters versus say any part of London, which at the highest is 245 meters (average 126 m though). So when it floods here it takes more than that storm to flood anything. I guess I'm just used to tons more rain.
