I thought it'd be fun to keep a hall of fame for highest level crab whistler bots. 49 of course is easy to get since you can equip them. But how far can you get with a 2-2 damage weapon that has 10 durability after that? Just to clarify, this record can only be held by a bot with BOTH weapons being crab whistlers. Shields are not allowed either.
Off the top of my head there's 2 ways I can see a bot like this being leveled. Lots of int and enough str for int armors and then hitting low con ratio whores (low con because of the fight length limit). Or instead attacking the crab whistler bot with broken weapon bots that have higher ratios.
I doubt many people would bother wasting resources for something like this but it'd sure be funny as hell :P

The only viable route is attacking yourself with ratio whores due to crab whistlers breaking too easily, so str/dex/con don't matter as you'll just let fights last 200? rounds and default win to the defender (crab whistler).

You might be able to attack your own ratio whores if they have broken armors too :P I know Draoi has a level 50 crab whistler bot, and I already have a bot at 49 with them as well. You'll have to do better than that!

Be able to equip a crab whistler I think so it's actually easier than you think :p

Well yes, I did train up to 49 with crabs.
But, no matter if you had 500str/500dex, you'd still need crabs right before level 50.

With redis, you could level and remove stats as you level until you get to the point to where you redis off your str/dex to 10 base each and then equip crabs. so conceivably you could reach any level if you had the resources to do so. The difficulty of this task will be determining how far to raise your stats and when to start removing in order to accomplish this feat.

Unfortunately, that's not possible. Given the min weapon formula from level 50 onwards (Required str + dex must be 50% of base str + dex), none of the weapons with 0 str/dex requirements can be re-equipped (E.g. crab whistler, broken bottle, etc). About a year ago after making a level 100 bot with 10 base str/dex I considered asking Ender to change the required str/dex for those weapons to 5 so that it would be possible, but decided against it.

It's a sucky task. Fun, but sucky. I was gaining like ~1000 exp with 200% buff. Only have like 30int, but still. You have to train on the 30 :/

I think that's the solution (don't forget to remove the kudos from your ratio whore or else all the equipment will be repaired - it happened to me more than once).
Btw, I guess 300 rounds is the limit.
