The movie of this great book will be out soon!

Too bad Hollywood took a great big shit on it! I mean come the fuck on, Mazer Rackam is flying a fucking JSF, FUCK YOU HOLLYWOOD. And he looks nothing like a Maori even with that full face moko, take it from me, I know Maori's.

This will be one movie I will be more than happy to wait for and steal off the internet.

I was SOOOOOO excited when i heard this movie was being made. But then i remembered that any book adaptation that gets turned into a movie ALWAYS SUCKS. Too bad though this looks like it "could" have been good.

Unless I dislike the book subject matter intensely ie: Twighlight/Harry Potter.

They never do justice to the books I like.

only read the first 3 books of harry potter, but I think the movies were terrific.

The first one is a bit dated, as it was written in the 60s, but they're good books. Dune, Dune Messiah, Children of Dune, God Emperor of Dune.

Just read Dune first if you don't have a lot of time. It's far and away the best of the lot. =)

Oh and read Starship Troopers if you want. It's one of my all time favorite sci-fi books.

I like all of the original series. Took him 20 years to write them all, and you can tell :)

But I haven't bothered with the more recent spin offs, preludes, etc..

From the original six, I like Children of Dune and God-Emperor of Dune the best. Recommended to read them from the start though.

And unlike Jans, I am reading all prequels as well. The Bulterian Jihad trilogy and the houses trilogy are also recommended by me :)

saw this movie yesterday. it suprised me, not bad at all.

given, i knew nothing about the book or movie and probably wouldn't even had watched it if not mentioned here.
