I'd be upset if I lost my fiance of 3years+ as well. So its understandable to be upset. I find keeping myself busy with things i love to do when im upset to help keep my mind off of things. just know there are those that care. What has to happen is you have to be willing to pick yourself back up and move on. Its easier to say then do but do know if you need to talk there are people that have posted that you can see that most likly will be will to listen. Life throws challenges at us everyday,this is one for you. I hope things work out for you and you bounce back from this. Just take it one day at a time mate. Moo.

Adult relationships are about a whole range of things such as communication, trust, compatibility & yes sex. But the thrill of sex is transient & therefore can not sustain a long term relationship unless the other aforementioned components are in place.

Anyhoo setting aside SJ's compasionate views; use this as a life lesson. Honestly analyse how you performed in the relationship, both good & bad. & utilise what you have learnt in your next partnership.

Sorry to hear, that really sucks. :\ Don't do anything that will have lasting/permanent effects (e.g. hurt yourself), but otherwise do what you have to to get by. Focus on hobbies and improving yourself, see friends/try to avoid being alone, etc.

Stuff like this catches you in an emotional tidal wave, it sucks but in my experience you feel really stupid when you look back on it. we've all had our share of heartbreak and we all get over it.

I broke up with my ex 4 years ago and I had been with her a long while, we were engaged and life was good (living together etc) - was heartbroken and even had to fall back onto my parents for support.

We broke up, I went to work, she went to work, I left work early packed all my important stuff and had it over at my parents house before she even got home. Shit hurts but in hindsight I did it right.

6 months later I meet the woman who is now my wife and we now have 20 month old twins. I could be happier, family life is a daily struggle, but I'd not swap my family for anything.

It is a cliche plenty of fish etc but it is absolutely true, and if I hadn't broke up with my ex I'd not have my kiddies or stable life I have now.
