fibre optic is most likely shared Jans throughout your entire work, so if you aren't the only one using it the speeds will vary depending on t the amount of users. At my moms work when we'd arrive early at 4 am and there were very few people on I could get up to 1200 Mb/s download speeds, the later the day went and the mor3e people that got on the slower it got.

Yea it's shared, but also capped, so i probably get the same results at 4am. Bastards.

My home broadband is fibre optic and I get a healthy 72mbit down pretty consistently but up it varies between 10 and 30mbit depending on the time of day

Why the difference? Nothing changed in my system usage, both were open during the speed tests and no one else was using the net.

That's not a massive difference.

I wouldn't call internet connections the most stable thing in the world.
